Thank you for choosing to read this story!
I've never written anything like this before but I don't want to do homework so here ya go!
I hope you like it!
9 years ago:
It was as sunny and warm as a normal summer's day. The breeze was as light as clouds and it smelled of freshly cut grass. It was the perfect day!
Sonia was a bigger woman who sat on a metal bench on the border of where the park meets the grass. She was watching her son, Eddie, run around the playground equipment with his 2 friends, Beverly and Richie. They have been the best of friends since they were all born. Their mother's grew up together amny years ago and became the best of friends.
Today was Sonia's day to host their weekly playdate, and it was going great.
The 3 children were running around the playground playing tag. Richie and Eddie were ahead of Beverly, trying to escape from her because she was currently 'it.'
"Get back here!" Beverly yelled, while zig zagging through the playground. She was trying so hard to keep up with them.
"You can't catch us, we're the gingerbread men!" Richie yelled back a her, laughing.
"I agree with that," Eddie giggled, yelling to Beverly.
"You BOYS are dummies!" Beverly yelled to them. She started to run faster gaining on the two, that made both of them scream as loud as they could.
"Take him, he's smaller!" Richie yelled to Beverly while pushing Eddie back, softly. Then Richie started running faster to get ahead of Eddie.
"Rich! Really?" Eddie yelled at him. That's when Beverly came up behind Eddie very quickly and scared him. He screamed in fear right when he saw her and then she quickly tapped his shoulder and ran off.
"You're it!" Beverly giggled.
"AHHH!" Eddie shouted, Richie stopped running and started to laugh. Then Eddie also stopped running and started to laugh, "I'm gonna get you Tozier!" Eddie yelled. Richie started to scream as Eddie ran underneath the blue, plastic slide at full speed. Richie started to run but he wasn't fast enough because when Richie looked back at Eddie he was being tackled to the ground by the small boy.
They both immediately started laughing, "You're it!" Eddie yelled in Richie's ear. They're both out of breath. Eddie is laying on Richie's chest, and when he realizes it his whole face begins turns red and he quickly starts to get off of him.
"You dummies are doing a doggie pile without me?" Beverly says right before she jumps on top of Eddie which makes him fall back onto Richie. They all burst out laughing and they keep laughing as they roll off of eachother and onto the green grass. The sun beams down on their faces as tears run down their cheeks from laughing so hard.
"Kids, time for lunch!" Sonia yelled from across the park. They all stood up and started walking to Sonia. She stood up with a huge smile on her face.
"What's for lunch mommy?" Eddie asks her, smiling brightly.
"Your favorite, PBJ's!" Sonia says excitedly, sweetly looking at the children.
"Yay!" all three children say in unison. They started walking on the sidewalk, making the short stroll to the Kaspbrak house.
When they entered the house the three children took their shoes off, set them neatly in the doorway, and then they bolted to the bathroom to wash their tiny hands. They have done that routine many times before. Once all of their hands were scrubbed clean they ran into the kitchen and sat at the table.
Sonia premade the sandwiches that morning so she just took the plate from the fridge and placed them in the middle of the table. The children dug in: Beverly took two, Eddie took two, and Richie took four.
Once they finished eating they all ran up to Eddie's room. His baby blue walls mixed well with his bright yellow bedding. His carpet is a light gray while his curtains are white. They love laying down on his soft, gray carpet on the floor. And that's exactly what they did and they stared at the glow in the dark stars on the ceiling. Out of the three of them, Eddie's room is the nicest. It was always clean and the bright colors are calming. They laid on the carpet, giggling, for ten minutes, until the phone rang downstairs.
The only time the phone ever rang at the Kaspbrak house was if one of the friends had to leave, if there was going to be a sleepover (which they knew there couldn't be one cause Eddie had a doctor's appointment the next morning), or if it was the doctor (in this case it's not). They all quickly sat up and waited for Sonia to shout someone's name, but she never did.
Again, thank you!
I'm kinda excited for this story, sorry!
I'll stop talking now, hehehe!
