Chapter 11: Boyfriends & Friend Zones

*****KIAN'S POV*****

Would it be wrong to ask your best friend's ex-girlfriend out? It's not like it ended badly or anything, right?

And plus we've known each other over a two months where she completely avoided Trevor. And that's not counting the skate shop where she told her boss to 'Suck her dick' or 'Kiss her ass' or something.

Plus she kisses me.... like all the time..... but its just on the cheek.

Now I'm paranoid that if Sam and Trevor find out that I like Shadow our friendship will be over.

Not so much about Trevor, I can handle him.

I decided to ask Sam.

I walked up the stairs to his room and knocked on his door.

I heard shuffling and then he said "Come in!"

I entered and he was on his laptop. He looked up at me then closed his laptop.

"Hey, can we talk?" I said.

"Oh no are you breaking up with me?" he asked.

"Haha very funny Sam. No I'm not breaking up with you." I said jokingly. "I wanted to ask you permission to ask Shadow out on a date"

I was serious now. But mostly I was scared of his answer.

"Yea it doesn't bother me, but it might bother her boyfriend..." He smirked and looked at me.

I looked back at him wide eyed, I could feel the blood leaving my face and going to me ears.

"You're kidding right?" I asked with a pinch of hope left inside of me.

"Go see for your self." He said confidently.

At the very moment I sprinted down stairs, put the door, and knocked on her front door.

I had to see if Sam was playing a joke on me or not. He would do something like that.

"Come in!" A feminine voice said.

I entered and saw Shadow sitting on a blonde model like boy. She was laughing and blushing at something.

That must be her... her boyfriend. But still never hurts to ask.

"Hey Kian!" She jumped off of his lap and sprinted over to me to give me a hug and kissed me on the cheek.

"Kian this is my boyfriend, Axel. Axel this is my best-est friend in the whole world besides Emerson of course." Damn I can't believe she friend zoned the shit out of me just then.

'Best-est friend in the whole world' was the term I think she used.

Axel forced a smile and said "Nice to meet you." through a clenched jaw.

"So what did you need?" She asked.

I panicked and said "I needed Christmas lights" I said which was a complete lie because we had tons of them.

"Sorry, we don't have any left over that I know of." She said sincerely.

"Okay well bye!" I said and

ran out the door.
