It was a cold morning, that was pretty normal for the people who lived in north. Today was slightly different as there was snow, not much just a thin layer, but that wasn't going to stop all the jerks from throwing snow at cara and her friends.

Everyone was making their way to school, Cara didn't really like socialising with people she didn't know. She hated it most when people bumped into her, especially without apologising, yet never had the courage to speak up about it.

"I wonder what's gonna happen today?" She thought. Nothing exciting ever happened at her school, it was always the same. The same faces, the same voices, the same everything. It was boring. She continued to zone out while she walked to school.

She stared at her feet as she walked inside. "Hey Georgina!" Came a voice from behind her, she turned to see miriam, her best friend. Miriam was a short girl with hazel coloured eyes and dark brown hair. She was usually pretty hyper but today she seemed much more enthusiastic.

"Hey miriam" Cara said quietly. Miriam was pretty much squealing with excitement. "What's wrong" the brunette asked.

"There's a new girl!" She screamed, Cara was slightly concerned. Having new kids wasn't exciting, they were all just nerds or people who soon became "popular" Cara didn't really like the popular kids aka "the jerks" they were horrible to her. "Maybe the new kid won't be so bad" "maybe they will wanna be friends"-

"Cara! Maybe they are hot!" Miriam exclaimed interrupting her thoughts. "Miriam don't you think that a bit weird?.." miriam stopped screaming and looked the brunette dead in the eye. "No" she said in a gruff tone. Cara didn't say anything, she just wanted the day to be over and for miriam to stop fan-girling over someone she has hasn't even met yet.

The bell rang and Miriam grabbed Cara's wrist and dragged her to reg. both girls sat beside eachother and waited for their name to be called. The brunette tapped her hand on the table waiting for the bell to ring again. Until she heard an unfamiliar name. Rebecca. Her eyes scanned the room and saw someone she hadn't seen before. She was blonde and wore a red hoodie, she stared at her for a moment.

"Cara what are you staring at" miriam said

"Oh wait, that's her?"

Cara was completely ignoring her. The blonde girl turned round and looked at the two of them. The brunette immediately stopped staring and covered her face. Miriam waved to the blonde and she waved back and smiled. Miriam noticed cara was covering her face and she looked back at rebecca then to cara again.

"You love rebecca" miriam said with a smirk

"I do not!" She said slamming her hands on the table.

"Suree" miriam teased. Cara rolled her eyes and picked up her bag as the bell rang. They headed to their first class.

"You really annoy me sometimes" Cara admittted, The other brunette shrugged. "I can't help it tho, you do love her" miriam laughed. Cara rolled her eyes and elbowed her. "I-"

"Hi" a voice interrupted. They both turned around and saw the blonde girl. Cara kind of just froze and Miriam greeted her.

"Don't mind her she's awkward" miriam said leaning on the brunettes shoulder. Rebecca giggled and walked past them into class.

"Looks like she's in our maths class"

"I knew that" Cara said entering the class. Miriam and cara didn't sit together in this class since there was a seating plan. Cara sat alone by the window on the far side of the room away from miriam. In front of her was her sorta friend, cora.

Cara was turning through the pages of her book until she was interrupted by someone.

"Hey could I sit here?"

"Erm.. sure" Cara said hesitantly, the blonde girl sat beside her and set her book on the table. The teacher began talking, it wasn't anything very interesting so she stared out the window most of the lesson.

It was lunch time so Cara went outside and looked for miriam. There was ice everywhere. People were sliding on it and cara didn't wanna do that again. Last winter she tried doing a ballerina move on the ice and broke her wrist.

Miriam was with cora and the new girl. The brunette approached the three and they continued talking. They all walked over to a frozen puddle and started sliding on it. Cara kinda just walked slowly over it afraid of falling again, well that was until cora slid right into her.

"Sorry" cora said standing up. The brunette just sat there for a moment, not really bothered by the cold floor.

"Need some help" the blonde said reaching her hand out. "Erm no I got it" cara said trying to stand up but slipping again.

Rebecca helped her up to her feet and she laughed.

"What's so funny" cara said brushing her shoulders.

"Your funny" the blonde said smiling. "Maybe the new kid isn't actually so bad" cara thought. She smiled in return. The bell rang and everyone started running inside.
