after the most amazing, emotional, lifechanging week, its time to go back home. this is our last day and tonight we leave.
its about 9 am. we got breakfast at 10 but no ones awake exept for me and the birds. i put on a hoodie and get into the elevator. it goes down and makes a stop at floor 5. and ofcourse, the one and only cynthia walks in.
"hey" she smiles
i ignore her and push the button.
"where u headed to? breakfast isnt for about an hour" she says
i still ignore her and wait for the elevator to go down faster cause this was taking v long. then, when were almost down, i feel it go up again. ru shitting me? we stop at floor 6. and then... jaden walks in. how great. my two favorite people
he coughs and pushes the button. i roll my eyes and put in my airpods. the elevator starts to go down slowly. suddenly it stops. like just stands still
"what the fuck?" i say, taking one airpod out. i push the button but it doesnt work. i keep pushing it. anger fills my body
"hey hey! i dont think the button works" jaden says, grabbing my shoulder
yeah no shit sherlock.
he clicks onto the alarm bell and we immediatly get a response
"hey kids, yall okay?" the operator says
"were fine but were stuck" i say
"okay, uhm yall are between floor 4&3 so its gonna be hard to get you out. it might take a while" the operator says
i sigh and sit down. jaden sits next to me, but i put my airpod in again.
"louise.. lets just talk" cynthia says
"yeah! leTs jUst tAlk! you fucked my boyfriend" i yell. then look at jaden " or shall i say ex-boyfriend" i fake smile
"look im really sorry. i was drunk and-" jaden says
"piss off. if you really loved me, you wouldnt do that. even if you were drunk." i say
"jaden has alcohol problems. you should know that" cynthia says, making me pissed
"OFCOURSE I KNOW THAT PRINCESS! im not fucking stupid! just shut up okay? ur really pissing me off and believe me, you dont wanna see me mad" i say, clenching my teeth
"watcha gonna do hun?" she says
i get up and smack her in the face
"WOAH LU!" jaden says grabbing me and standing in front of me.
"dont call me lu. only friends get to call me that" i say, sitting back down
"louise please.. are we not even friends anymore?" his voice cracks
"not in my eyes" i say
"OKAY YALL WERE HERE! im gonna let the rope in and you just gotta climb up okay?" the operator says
jadens pov
we all get out of the elevator safely and i check my phone. 9:46.
"its breakfast time" i say
louise walks away
"louise are you deaf?" cynthia says
"not fucking hungry" she answers without turning around
"cynthia dont be such a bitch to her" i say, walking away. on the stairs, i meet bryce
"bro you look like u need a cig" he says
i chuckle and run my fingers through my hair
"i gotchu" he says, pulling out a bag of weed
we go to the balcony and roll a joint.
"so?" he says
"so what?" i say taking a hit
"did you get a chance to talk to her yet?" he says, grabbing the joint from my hand.
"nah man. she hates me" i say
"she loves you. but you broke her heart. its normal that shes acting this way." he says
i nod and take another hit.
louises pov
i finally get outside and head to the lake. its really pretty and quiet out here. ive tried to take my mind off of jaden this past week, but now i can finally think about everything that happened.
and it suddenly hit me really hard. the love of my life cheated on me with someone else.
i hear footsteps behind me and turn around quickly.
"hey" he says
"hi" i say
"watcha doing" he sits down next to me
"thinking" i say, splashing water with my foot.
"about what" he asks
"everything" i answer
he puts his arm around me and we just enjoy the nature and each others company for a sec. no talking, just enjoying the moment.
"thanks pay" i say
"for what?" he asks
"for being the best bestie ever" i say
he smiles and hugs me tight. i softly start sobbing in his chest
