Warning: Swears
Virgil had been running deep into his neighbouring kingdom's wood. He knew nothing of the area, nor the dangers living inside of it. He stopped to pick flowers in a green patch admiring the scenery. He sauntered through the forest a little more, admiring the beautiful greenery but worried he would be alone. Until he saw a small hut giving off smoke from a chimney not too far away. Virgil wandered into the hut's garden noticing how it was quite worn down "Hello?" He called out. He tried the door handle to the small house, beginning to think it was abandoned. He opened the door and was immediately pulled into the darkness "AAHH!" He screamed struggling as he was thrown to the floor.
Prince Roman was also wandering through the woods when he heard a scream. He saw the hut in the distance and knew exactly who it was, run to follow the scream.
"Wh-what the hell?!" Virgil shouted looking around frantically trying to figure out what had happened and who.
Roman got to the cottage and unsheathed his sword as he slowly and quietly walked in. "Who's there?"
Virgil shuffled back scared that the figure with the sword was the one who kidnapped him.
Roman saw Virgil, yet he couldn't tell if it was Deceit or not. "Who are you?"
Virgil was completely honest "Prince Virgil from kingdom Ansiedade..." He was shakily shuffling back "Wh-What do you want from me..." Virgil asked scared, thinking the voice was the kidnapper.
He was relieved it wasn't Deceit. "I heard a scream, are you alright?" He kept his guard up just in case Deceit was nearby.
"I-i... Wh-Who are you?"
Deceit was lurking in the shadows of the dark hut, wondering if he should let Virgil go, or fight Roman to keep him as an errand boy.
"Prince Roman of Perra, at your service." He did a slight bow, not bringing his guard down too much.
"S-so are you the person who dr-dragged me in here? I don't know this land well... I just ran here and thought this place was abandoned."
"No, I was wandering through the woods and I heard you scream... I know who this cottage belongs to and I was worried."
"Oh... S-So who did bring me in here?"
"I did." Deceit stepped out of the shadows.
Roman held his sword higher towards Deceit "Stay back."
"Oh stop it Prince Charming. You have no power here."
"I may not have status, but I have training. Virgil, get out of here."
"I-i-i..." Virgil mumbled, still not sure where either of the boys were and accidentally shuffled right into Deceit's legs and froze. He tried to shuffle back to the middle of the room.
"Where do you think you're going?" Deceit grabbed his hair dragging him back.
"Agh!" Virgil winced struggling
"Let go of him!" Roman gripped his sword higher "Now!"
"No."
Virgil struggled more, confused at how tight Deceit's grasp was.
"Stop struggling you little shit."
Virgil whimpered and stopped immediately.
"I said let go!" Roman had no clue how he would fight him but he needed to help Virgil.
"And I said no."
"Why do you even care about keeping him here?!"
"Why do you care about me letting him go?!"
"Deceit, just let him go and we'll leave you be."
"What part of no do you not understand?"
"What part of "I have a sword" do you not understand?"
"Try me bitch."
Roman thought about things and got an idea. "Fine, if you aren't going to let him go, I know I can't convince you."
Virgil panicked that he would be stuck here and tried to flash a confused and concerned look at Roman in the darkness.
Deceit laughed evilly in triumph.
Roman slowly walked out, flashing a quick reassuring look toward Virgil.
Virgil struggled more "P-please." He choked
"Quiet!"
He pressed his lips together panicking.
Roman left and ran through the forest back to the castle, trying to ignore Virgil's plead temporarily.
"Wh-What do you want?" Virgil asked trying to free himself from Deceit's grasp.
Deceit focused his attention on Virgil. "What the fuck were you doing on my property?"
"I-i thought this place was abandoned. I don't know these woods..."
"Then why are you here?"
"B-b-because... I was trying to escape my wedding..." Virgil sighed, wishing he didn't feel the need to tell the truth.
"Why?"
"I... Ran away because it was an arranged marriage, to a woman who I do not love. My father won't accept the fact I'm gay," He squeaked the last part "S-So please let go..."
"Fine. But you're staying here and working for me, I need someone to experiment stuff on. And if you try to escape, lets just say you won't get very far." Deceit let go of Virgil's hair throwing him on the ground.
Virgil fell to the floor "O-Okay" He sniffed and crawled over to the wall opposite to Deceit.
"Weak."
Virgil stayed silent glaring at Deceit.
"Don't look at me like that."
"Sorry..." Virgil stared at the ground.
"Well, I'm off to go curse some random peasants. Stay here."
"Okay..." Virgil mumbled, too scared to move or try to run.
Deceit left the cottage, slamming the door.
