Malachi Miller had seemed to read more books in a year he was with the Millers than his entire life. It seemed as if every time he turned around someone had a new book for him.
Malachi scanned his shelf,having the books organized. Each shelve filled with different types of books. He didn't have them organized by the genre. He had them as books he didn't yet read,books he's read and his favorite books.
The beautiful and the damned. The side of Aradise. The great Gastby. The sun also rises. Those types of books had been in a different shelve. As he had read them,but,wouldn't re-re-read them. He's re-read then once.
Malachi flipped the page of 'THE GIVER'. The boy was coming to the end of the book,and glanced up at his shelves. His eyes headed towards the shelve that he had labeled 'NOT READ'. Which didn't have that many books.
The boy just had ten books on that shelve. When I Disappear. Zodiac. IT. Simon vs. the homosapians agenda. He twisted his head,confused. That's a new one.
He slide his bookmark into the page of the book,turning his head and he walked towards it. He dragged his hand on it,picking it from its shelve and flipping it in its backside. He quickly scanned the back,reading its summary.
Malachi looked back to the book in his bed,he only had a few pages left. At most,thirty pages. He shrugged,taking that book and zipping his backpack open before putting the book there.
