J-Hope x reader: Sunset Lovers

Y/n sat down next to her best friend, Hoseok.  The cheery boy had invited her on top of the hill to watch the sun take a rest on the cool autumn Saturday.  Y/n had gladly accepted.

Hoseok smiled at his long-time best friend as she got comfortable in the soft grass.  "Glad you could make it, N/n."  Hoseok chided as he ruffled Y/n's h/c hair.  Y/n giggled.  "You really think I'd miss a chance to hang out with my best friend?"  She gave Hoseok a gentle nudge with her shoulder.  Hoseok's heart smile faded slightly at the words best friend, but he shook his head.  

Y/n focused her e/c eyes on the orange sun that was turning the cloud-less sky pink.  But Hoseok couldn't tear his eyes from his friend.  She was simply a being of pure beauty.  Her plump lips curled up in a tiny grin.  Her e/c eyes crinkled at the edges, lit up by the sun.  But to Hoseok, it wasn't the sun that lit up her eyes.  Y/n was her own sun.  She lit up her own eyes.

Y/n broke the silence.  "It's beautiful, isn't it, Hobi?"  The girl looked at her best friend.  Then, her eyes widened when she saw the brown-haired boy watching her.  "What is it?  Is something wrong?"  Hoseok turned pink, shaking his head.  "No, nothing wrong, I just..."  He trailed off.

Hoseok sighed, gently grabbing Y/n's hand.  "I wish I could tell you exactly how I feel, but words can't describe that.  I... get all warm and fuzzy when I look at you, and my heart feels like it's going to burst when you smile.  When I see your face, I just want to hug you and never let you go.  I've felt this way for a long time, but I never knew how to tell you.  I just know that I li-  no, I love you, Y/n.  It's ok if you don't like me back.  I just want you to know."

Y/n's eyes filled with tears.  "Hoseok..."  She murmured, squeezing his hand.  "I love you too, Hoseok."  Y/n threw her arms around her friend, sobbing onto his shoulder.  Y/n soon started feeling wet teardrops falling onto her own shoulder as Hoseok cried alongside her.  The two broke apart and Hoseok cupped Y/n's cheeks.

"C'mon now, don't cry.  It pains me to see you cry."  Y/n smiled at his words.  "I'll stop crying if you'll stop crying."  She laughed.  After a moment of gathering themselves, Hoseok suddenly pressed his pink lips against Y/n's.  Her e/c orbs widened, but she relaxed and kissed back after a moment.  The both of them stopped at the same moment, taking a minute to breathe.  Y/n laughed.  "I doubt we can be just friends after that."  She said with a smile.  Hoseok nodded, also smiling.  "You want to be my girlfriend?"  He asked casually.  Y/n laughed again and kissed her new boyfriend on the lips.

After the news was told, their friends would never stop referring to the shining couple as the Sunset Lovers.
