I wake up in the morning to the smell of cheese buns. Peeta. I run downstairs and stuff one in my mouth.
"Well it looks like someone's hungry." Peeta says.
"Shush. I'm eating." I say with my mouth full.
"I'll leave you to your cheese buns." Peeta says with his sweet smile.
"No. Come here and kiss me." I say after I swallow.
"I won't argue with that." He says as I lean in to kiss him.
I love his lips. I know that sounds odd but they just so amazing.
Someone knocks. I'm thinking it's Haymitch since my mom is in district 4 and my former best friend, Gale, is in district 2.
"What Haymitch?" I ask as I open the door.
"I smelled the cheese buns from all the way next door. Do you have any extra Peeta?" Haymitch asks.
"Yeah. Sit down." Peeta says.
"What have you two lovebirds been up to?" Haymitch says while eating.
"Nothing much." We say at the same time. It makes me smile.
"Oh. I almost forgot. Johanna is moving here tomorrow. They're letting her out of the hospital tonight. And Annie is thinking of moving here with her baby." Haymitch says.
"What's the baby's name?" Peeta asks.
"She named him after Finnick. They look the same." Haymitch says.
"When did you see the baby?" I say.
"While I was sobering up. Again." Haymitch says.
"You should leave. Peeta's moving more stuff in and I'm going to help him." I say.
"I'm not staying for that. Bye." Haymitch says as he leaves.
Once he leaves, Peeta looks dazed.
"Are you okay Peeta?" I say cautiously.
"Katniss. Get me my handcuffs and stay away from me."
I run upstairs and get his handcuffs I strap them on and go into the other room. I start crying. Why Peeta? He's such a sweet boy. Why did Snow have to destroy him? I hear him screaming in the kitchen. I decide to take a nap since this may take a while...
I wake up to Peeta rubbing my back.
"Are you okay?"
"Just another flashback. I'm so sorry Katniss."
"It's not your fault Peeta. I love you."
"Katniss?"
"Yes?"
"I'm going to kiss you on the mouth now."
And he kisses me on the mouth.
