The first two weeks of college went on without any incident for Taehyung. He was constantly kept busy with classes, and he spent his free time hanging out with Yoongi and Hobi. He was comfortable with them, and the two treated him like a younger brother. He also got to meet their other close friend, Jin, a classically handsome boy who was studying to be an actor. Each of these four boys had their own charms, but as a group, they never failed to turn heads.

After a particularly grueling day in class, Taehyung went to the mall and made a beeline to the bookstore.  Once inside, he idly walked down the aisles, making sure to check out the new releases. He loved books, and could stay in bookstores for hours. Bookstores were his sanctuary, as he felt that being around books was highly comforting.

He was at the fiction aisle when he sensed that he was being followed. Taehyung quickly whirled around, but no one was there. "I must be getting paranoid," he muttered, and as he rounded the corner of the bookshelf he slammed into someone.

"Sorry, I didn't-"he trailed off, and as he looked up he found himself gazing into the grinning face of Jungkook.

Taehyung sharply inhaled and composed himself. "Sorry. I wasn't watching where I was going," he said. In response, the ravenette smirked at him.

"That's all right. You can bump into me anytime."

Taehyung hurriedly turned away from him and went to the very next aisle, which was full of self help books. Jungkook happily followed the brunette, and moved to stand before him. "I didn't know you were into all these self-improvement stuff."

Annoyed, Taehyung shoved him aside. "I'm not. And what are you doing here anyway? You don't seem like the type to crack a book open every now and then."

Jungkook lazily smiled at him. "Appearances can be deceiving. For all you know I could be very into Harry Potter. I could give you direct quotes if you like."

At that it was Taehyung's turn to smirk. "No thank you. I'm sure I can just get them myself if I want to."

Jungkook took a step closer, and there was only a few inches separating them. "And if I'm not the bookish type, then what is my type?" he asked.

"The type to just barge in and wash a guy's hair for kicks, for one. What the hell was that all about anyway?" Taehyung demanded.

"I did that because I wanted to know you," Jungkook said.

"What?" Taehyung squeaked. He cleared his throat, and said," I don't get it. Is this how you normally meet people? Can't you do it in the usual way, you know, like, Hi my name is Jungkook, nice to meet you? What's wrong with that?"

Jungkook chuckled and replied in a low voice, "I could. But it wasn't what I felt like doing when I saw you."

Taehyung stared at him and quickly licked his lips out of nervousness. "And what you felt like doing was washing my hair?"

"It was good, wasn't it? Wasn't that the best shampoo you ever had in your life?"

"I wouldn't say the best," said Taehyung as he went to another aisle to pick up the book that he wanted.

Jungkook reached over to take the book from the brunette's hands. "The Power of Words? Sounds like heavy reading." He handed back the book, making sure to brush Taehyung's fingers with his own before leaving the bookstore.

"He sure does like to make a dramatic exit," Taehyung grumbled.
