The night was quiet. A kind of pleasant and peaceful that Alexis hadn't felt for a long time. Darkness tightly embraced everyone that walked into its arms, throwing a blanket of grey and black on the buildings, like a caring mother tucking its children to sleep; only the colorful lights from the city's neon signs gifted reality with different hues: Red, green; purple, orange; blue, white; they mixed together, reflecting off the wet ground, looking like someone clumsily dropped a pack watercolors. Well it had been beautiful until she had tied both of them and trapped them inside a small abandoned apartment in the city. Alexis could finally get rid of them, finally end them for the pain they had caused. She'd been waiting for this moment for so long.
"What happened to you?" She heard Lloyd ask. She didn't respond. She just turned her faintly glowing purple eyes on him. He was on the floor next to Axel. Lloyd didn't exactly look scared, instead he looked concerned, which didn't surprise her.
"Oh nothing," she gave him a crazy smile. "I just figured out the best way to end this."
"End what?" Axel asked, who wasn't quite as calm as Lloyd.
"My pain of course."
Axel and Lloyd both looked confused.
Alexis sighed. "Really? And I thought you guys were supposed to be smart."
"Who hurt you?" Lloyd asked.
"Seriously?" Alexis raised an eyebrow.
"Just tell us."
Alexis sighed. "You idiots, and I thought it was obvious."
Lloyd waited for her to explain.
"What do you mean, what did we ever do to you?" He finally asked.
Alexis looked at him, her glowing eyes intimidating them. For a second their glow seemed to dim, as if doubting herself, revealing her brown eyes. However their glow got bright again, as fast as it had dimmed, and her smile faded. "I've been bullied for the past how many years, you guys should know. After all you were the ones who done so." just said flatly. Lloyd's eyes widened.
"We were teasing around, you know that-" Lloyd started.
Alexis's hysterical laughter cut him off. "Then why did it hurt Lloyd? Why did it hurt if it was just fun and games?"
"W-what about me?" Axel asked her. "Surely I haven't done anything to you..."
Alexis smiled at him. "Oh you did, you were always there when it happened, and never done anything to prevent it from happening."
Axel just stared at her in shock. "What?"
"Well enough talking." She suddenly snapped. She swiftly pulled a knife out of her belt. She looked at Axel.
"Let's start with you shall we?" She raised the knife, running her finger along the sharp edge.
"It was nice knowing you, and ironically enough," she looked at him in the eye. "It really wasn't." She started bringing the knife down as Axel squeezed his eyes shut.
Suddenly the door of this small apartment's room was slammed open and a 20 year-old boy with dark hair rushed in, suddenly grabbing and pinning Alexis on the ground.
Alexis struggled under him. "Get off of me, let me go!" She growled at him.
"Stop it, this isn't you!" Tris said.
"This is exactly who I am, so you stop it!"
"No it isn't, look at me, the Alexis we all know wouldn't hurt a fly!"
"You obviously don't know me then." Alexis sneered.
Tris said in a softer voice. "How are you going to live knowing that you murdered two people?"
Alexis stopped struggling and looked at Tris. She looked at him, confused, and blinked, her eyes their usual brown again. Tris let her go as tears started to pool in her eyes. Alexis just sat there, looking down with her arms supporting her so she wouldn't fall on her face. Her brown eyes full of pain, as her dark brown hair fell on her shoulders, since her ponytail had been ruined. She slowly stood up, "Not again." She whispered.
"It's gonna be OK." Tris told her.
She shook her head, dropping the knife and getting out of the room with quick steps.
Tris went over to Axel and Lloyd. "Are you guys good?" He asked as he untied them.
Axel just sat there, even after he was untied, not quite believing what had just happened. Lloyd however, jumped up grabbing Tris by his shoulders.
"What the hell is going on?"
"What's wrong with her?" Axel asked, slowly rising up.
"Look it's complicated-" Tris began.
"Did you know about this?" Lloyd asked him.
"Why didn't you tell us?" Axel asked him.
"She's just-" Tris tried to speak again.
"How long has this been going on for?" Lloyd demanded.
"Just shut up, OK? I'll explain on the way when you guys let me speak." Tris snapped.
They walked out of the room and out of the apartment in silence just as they saw Alexis made her wings appear and fly upwards. The floor they were on happened to be on the first floor.
"Come on, let's get back." Tris said. They made their wings appear and flew after Alexis.

Alexis could hear it, the thing. It was demanding her attention. She didn't want to however, she just couldn't. It was a part of her now but there had to be a way to get of it. Right now however, there was nothing she could do.
She wanted to be alone, even if it meant being alone with the voice. So instead of flying towards the place they called home, she veered off course, flying towards the city, hugging her black jacket as she shivered in the cold night. She had stopped crying by now. She reached what she was looking for. She landed gently on top of the tallest building in the city. She put her elbows on her knees, cupping her face with her hands.

Lloyd had seen Alexis go the wrong way and had turned his head to see if Axel and Tris had seen Alexis go the wrong way. They were too busy chatting however, and hadn't noticed. Lloyd slowed down, wondering if he should go after Alexis.
"Oh well." He sighed, flying after Alexis.
He watched as she flew between buildings, and then finally reached the tallest building. He watched as she sat on the roof and looked at the city. He flew from behind her, trying to not make a sound.
