We Meet Again

Chapter 16

Catherine

All Catherine wanted was peace, George was messing with her brain,every thought was about him,she still badly wanted to know what kept him abroad,what made him forget her and broke her heart.

She was wearing his diamond necklace again and she couldn't help but fiddle with it,an habit she had whenever she thought of George.

He had told her he was going to come and visit her cos he had something important to tell her,what was so important? She wondered.

9:00Pm at the dot and George swung the door open. He was putting on a grey sweater with matching trousers. He looked younger and cuter. His eyes were glowing and his dimple more beautiful with the smile he had plastered on his face.

"Hey"He greeted her and stood before her table. He was tall in an attractive way and she couldn't help but admire the outline of his muscles on his shirt.

"Hi,you can have a seat"She motioned and he did just that.

The both sat in comfortable silence for 3 seconds before Catherine moved to her mini fridge to get a drink for George.

It was a bottle of wine ,which Catherine took her time to open. After pouring into George's glass and hers,they stared at each other, again.

"So,what's the important thing that brought you here?"Catherine asked him,he was checking her out no doubt with the way his eyes kept taking her in and she hoped she wasn't looking bad in her Aztec themed gown.

"You are beautiful Catherine"He muttered in a suggestive voice or so she thought. He had a dreamy look too and wouldn't stop gazing at her

"Thank you"She tried to stop herself from being flattered.

"So,why are you here?"Catherine asked again after taking a sip from her glass.

"I came to tell you the whole story Catherine, my reasons,I came to explain myself,to tell you how sorry I am"

"What if am not ready to hear you out,what if I don't want to know?"Catherine fired at him. He looked suprised,sad and confused at the same time.

"Catherine,I know you are mad at me but please"He tried begging but Catherine cut him short.

"No,I should be the one begging you,you made me seem foolish George,you abadoned me and left me in the dark,so please George,just let me be"She was at the verge of tears but she sucked them in. She was not going to allow him see her tears.

The doors went ajar and another figure who Catherine detested came in.

"Dike what are you doing here?I thought I told you the last time that it's over between us, didn't I warn you?"Catherine quizzed him but Dike scoffed instead.

"So you are the reason why Catherine broke up with me?"Dike directed the question at George.

"I thought you told me you no longer love Catherine,that you would never betray me,how dare you George!"Dike yelled.

"Bro it's not what you think"George tried to defend himself but a sharp uppercut landed on his jaw.

"That one is for lying to me"Dike yelled.

He launched at George again but George quickly dodged.

A kick landed Dike on the floor but like a professional wrestler,he stood up.

The both men engaged in a bloody fight, Dike grabbed the bottle of wine and broke it,with the last piece in his hand,he attacked George and stabbed him on the hand.

Catherine could do nothing but call the security when her shouts were non effective.

The security men came quickly and were able to hold Dike.
