Well now it's time for 3rd academic which is technically 5th period but this school is kind of dumb so the schedule is all weird. (A/N: cough cough my school)

3rd academic for me is social studies which doesn't seem so bad. Hopefully Lyla is in this class too.

I opened the door to the classroom and sadly, Lyla wasn't there. Who i did see, however, was Harley. He was sitting in the back corner of the room and nobody was around him which i thought was odd.

He seems so outgoing and happy. Why isn't he talking to anyone?

The desk next to him is empty so i decide to sit next to him. He was rolling a pencil back and forth on his desk, looking bored but when he noticed my existence, he smiled.

And i would be lying if i said his smile didn't make me smile in return.

He never looked directly at me and just continued rolling the pencil on the wood of the desk, smile still on his face.

"Hello, Teo." He said. Even though he was smiling, his voice sounded a little sad.

I tried to speak but I just stared as my voice got caught in my throat. "H-hi."

Harley finally looked at me, straight in my eyes. His smile faded a tiny bit but enough for me to notice. "You remember my name, dont you?"

"Yes, of course i do."

He seemed to be relieved at my response and the bit of smile previously he gave up, came back.

"Why are you sitting here? Surely you have friends already that you could sit with." He asked me.

"Well i could say the same to you. You seem like a happy person."

"Who says im not?" He asked. "Happy is basically my middle name."

I paused for a second, wondering how to respond. "Oh. Well you looked sad."

His smile faltered again before answering, "Happy people get sad, Teo."

Before i could speak again, the bell rang and class started. I tried to talk to him but any time i opened my mouth to speak, he would put his finger to his mouth and shush me.

The rest of the day was uneventful. I just went to math and 'learned' while I was just drawing in my notebook. It was pretty boring.

After school ended, I went to look for Andy because we decided to walk home together.

I saw him standing in the hallway talking to someone. Oh. He's talking to a girl. Well, this could be very interesting. I decided to interrupt them.

Andy was mid-sentence when I walked over to him and said, "Come on, noob. I wanna go home." I rested my chin on his head and wrapped my arms around his shoulders.

The girl he was talking to got startled by my actions but started laughing when she saw how annoyed Andy was by me.

"¿Quien eres?" The girl asked. I think she didn't know I understood what she was saying.

"Mi nombre es Teo. Yo soy el novio." I told her and Andy's eyes went wide when he heard me speak. Hehe. Idiot.

   "¿Tu hablas español?" Andy gasped.

"Si, estúpido. Soy Mexicano." I answered, smirking.

(A/N: and here we switch back to English bc I don't feel like butchering my own language rn)

The girl was quiet for a little longer and asked "So... he's your boyfriend?"

Andy must have forgotten that I had said that because then his face reddened and he got all defensive. "No no no no. He's my brother."

"You two don't look alike." She stated the obvious.

"He's my adoptive brother." He corrected himself.

If i were anyone else, i might have had a problem with him telling some random person I don't know that I'm not blood related to him...but I really couldn't care less. I just wanted to go home.

"Can we go home now?" I asked impatiently.

   "Sure." He said.

"¡Adiós!" I called out to the girl as I sprinted away with an annoyed Andy in tow.

As we walked he seemed to be thinking. Like really hard. I swear he gave himself an aneurism that day.

   "Teo?"

   "Yeah?"

   "You're Mexican? Like really?"

"Uh.. yeah. Why?" His confusion  confused me.

"I thought you were Asian too."

Really?

"Like actually? I have one of the most Hispanic names ever." I laughed.

"Teo can be an Asian name tho." He argued, trying to seem less stupid.

"Yeah but 'Duran' isn't. It's a pretty Hispanic name."

"You can't tell someone's race by their name."

"Really? Is that so, Andy Nguyen? I can tell you're Asian by your name."

Andy just scoffed, muttering a 'whatever' and before we knew it, we were home.

(A/N: if any of you would be so kind as to correct my Spanish, please do so bc I'm pretty sure I got at least something wrong.)
