The day was hot, humid you could say; the absolute worst kind of day for an athlete. When you can feel your sweat sticking to your skin and hair and covering your body in a dirty layer of musk, you were not having fun. But such is the life of an athlete, someone who has to work through rain, snow, heat, anything to keep their body in tip top shape. That was the only way to beat your opponents on the field. Well, that and strategy, but this particular team didn't need that as much as the others in Japan. They had a secret weapon that had won them the national championships four years in a row now! But with great power comes a great responsibility, and that responsibility wasn't exactly the most fair for everyone else on the team.
The team had just finished up with practice for the day, running towards the locker room in pure excitement.
"I can't wait to hit the showers! Coach worked us way too hard today!" One of the players exclaimed, earning some laughter from his teammates.
"Yeah no kidding. It feels like my legs are gonna fall off. I hate cardio days! Running around the track for hours is the worst thing ever!" Another complained.
"Not like everyone understands the pain." Another stated, rolling his eyes. The group groaned in agreement, knowing exactly who he was thinking of.
"Speaking of which, where is Kuwata?" He asked, the group looking around the room to try and find their missing teammate.
"He's probably still outside. Ill go get his stupid ass." The team captain said, turning on his heels and returning back outside to the humid hell he had escaped from.
The captain looked all around the field, trying to find the last kid, groaning in annoyance when he couldn't be found. But when he looked really hard up in the bleachers, the slicked back poof of bright orange hair became unmissable. He rolled his eyes, ascending the the bleachers to see what was taking him so long. When he finally arrived all the way at the top, he found a sight he had seen so many times before. Their ace player and championship winner, Leon Kuwata, laying there asleep. He couldn't help but let his face hit his palm in disgust and humiliation. This was, in fact, what he did during every practice. He'd always find somewhere to sit, get comfortable, and sleep through the entire practice. It almost seemed like a ritual for him with how often he did it. The captain groan, kicking his foot down on metal bleacher Leon was laying on, causing the sleeping player to jolt awake at the loud noise.
"Huh? Hm? Wha-...oh hey Cap! Practice finally over?" Leon asked, stretching the muscles in his back with a few soft pops. He needed to not sleep on the bleachers again, they were not exactly soft.
"Yes Kuwata. It is. And you would know that if you actually joined us for practice every once and a while!" The captain scolded, only to get the same response he got every time he tried this. "Mmmm...No thanks. I'm good. I can't stand cardio days anyway." Leon said nonchalantly, standing up and pushing past the captain as he headed for the locker room. He could hear the captain growling in frustration, but that wasn't much of his concern.
The reason the captain was frustrated was because, while the rest of the team had to slave and work countless hours to be as good as they were, Leon naturally just was. He didn't need to practice or eat right or work out at all, and he was one of, if not the, best middle school baseball player in all of Japan!
Ever since he first picked up a baseball bat when he was little, he showed a promising career and a successful future was in his path. he was hitting home-runs in little league and winning any game he played. Even in video game form, Leon dominated anyone who dared to challenge him. He was a beast, and his parents knew it. So they got him a scholarship to one of the best private middle schools in Japan in exchange for his skill. And just like they had hoped, the school became national champions four years in a row. Of course though, it was all thanks to Leon. And while the team was always happy to be champions, a deep seeded jealously and hatred started to form between Leon and the others. He was obviously Coach's favorite and would bend over backwards for the kid most of the time. He could skip practice, not get the best grades, do whatever he wanted, and he would be fine. But if any of the other guys tried that or tried to argue on it, they would most certainly be put on the bench. It was a sad and somewhat infuriating reality, but it was a reality they had to face.

Mystery / ThrillerThis is my take on a Danganropna AU. Its basically a rewrite of Trigger Happy Havoc will all of the roles changed. But other than that, not much changes from the game. It is still set in Hope's Peak and the gore hasn't diminished at all! I hope you...
