Chapter 5 - Time to Talk

Hawks knew letting you free would set him back a lot in trying to get inside the League, but helping make more Nomu's was not something he wanted to do. At least that was the reason he told to himself.

Dabi was waiting for him outside the entrance and he didn't look happy at all. Hawks landed in front of the villain ready to defend himself if he needed to.

"How the fuck did you manage to let her escape.." Dabi asked with a low and annoyed voice. He was holding his head in one of his hand, almost looking like he was facepalming.

"She had a weapon.. That mirror in the bathroom was a bad call.." Hawks explained his side poorly with a pit of humor in his voice.

"Just find her and bring her back here, we need that quirk.." Dabi started saying as he looked at the hero in front of him.
"It's not my hero reputation on the line if she finds the media before you find her.." he continued after a few seconds of silence with a small smirk.

"I'll find her.." Hawks muttered before he turned around and started walking away from the villain before flying off.

You woke up in the morning to sunlight suddenly filling up your room, instead of opening your eyes you just covered your head with the blanket.

"It's time to wake up!" You heard a familiar sound say, you just muttered something for an answer.
"I made breakfast!" Food did sound good to you. You lowered the blanket and sat up to see who was making you wake up this early in the morning. You slowly opened your eyes while getting used to the brightness.

"I know it's your house but you can't just come into my room like that Hawks.. What if I slept naked or something?" You teased the man standing at the end of your bed and threw one of the pillows at him. He caught the pillow and kept it infront of his face for a moment to hide the sudden blushing.

"I'll be more careful next time! Now come eat before the breakfast gets cold" Hawks said as he threw the pillow back next to you and left the room.
You quickly got up from the bed and went to freshen up in the bathroom before going to the kitchen.

Hawks had placed two plates of food on the island counter and he was currently standing on the other side of the island eating from his plate.

"Did you make this yourself?" You asked as you sat down on the chair in front of winged hero.

"Of course I did! I can cook ya know!" Hawks said smirking as he continued eating. You took a first bite of the food he had prepared for you and it was actually good!
You closed your eyes for a moment to enjoy the flavours in your mouth. You quickly opened them when you heard a soft laugh coming from Hawks.

"What? I haven't eaten real food in days", you defended yourself and continued eating.

"Haven't seen anyone enjoy my cookings that much before, it was just cute!" Hawks said as he finished last bite of his food. You weren't sure if you heard that right, did he say what you did was cute?

Your brain stopped working for a moment so you were just frozen in place while Hawks took his plate to the kitchen sink. When he turned around you quickly collected yourself.

"You okay there?" Hawks asked you when he saw you being flustered.

"I'm fine!" You said and and hid your face behind your hands before you got any more red.

"If you say so!" You could hear the smirk on Hawks face as he walked back towards the island counter.

"What am I supposed to do here?" You asked suddenly to change the subject.
"All I had in my life was working and the vigilante stuff.. So what am I supposed to do here if I can't even go outside?" You explained to Hawks, work and saving people took most of your day, you rarely had time for other hobbies.
