Chapter 2

When Iwaizumi entered the gym he was shocked to say the least but then it was replaced by anger.But not enough to move because usually he is the first person to come in the morning so....?!
"What the hell? Is he alright?" Said Hanamaki and then looked over at Iwaizumi and said "ahh oi don't get angry first ask him!" In a worried tone. Iwaizumi walked over to the court where Oikawa was practising and punched him before he could jump serve again as he was stand for 15 minutes at the door watching "ouch Iwa-chan! When did you came I didn't heard you also i am not over working I promise i was waiting for you isn't our team late today when i came today no-one was here so i opened the gym and .."
he looked at Iwaizumi at that moment and stopped rambling because of the look Iwaizumi was giving him "get stretched and cool down and no i am not listening till i hear the truth also team isn't late you are just early and get off the court." Iwaizumi said with a dark look that left no place for any argument. Oikawa slammed his head and went to stretch and cool down, while this was happening rest of the team was also there they were also shocked to see their captain early when he is usually the last person to come. They went to their usual practice with side glances towards Oikawa. When Oikawa was cool down he went to change and came back and helped to look over the team and give advice. But his mind was stuck with certain orange head and he spaced out.

Hanamaki came to Oikawa to say something he called his name he didn't responded. He looked at his face and released he wasn't present here and told everyone to not disturb him so they could prank him and see how long will he stay in this state. And the end of practice when they look his way he was still in same state a few of them were trying to hold their laugh behind their hands, others were snickering. So everyone went to hide at different places and Iwaizumi threw a volleyball at his head and hide as well.
"Ouch! Iwa-ch...!" As he looked back to complain but there was no one there and he looked around and saw no one. He was shocked as the volleyball were all over the place the net was still up the gym door was also closed. Oikawa looked shocked and thought out loud " may be i am still sleeping.... yeah probably......" as he was going to take the volleyball which was near the stairs Shido came out of the hiding and shouted "boo". Oikawa shirked and fall backwards. The rest of the team saw this and all were laughing while holding there stomachs. Oikawa still on ground looked around with tears in his eyes, breathing heavily, heart pounding and said whining" you guys are mean".

Later when everyone had showered and changed into their uniforms they all noticed that Their captain was still spacing out Iwaizumi hit him on the head.
"Ouch Iwa-chan that hurts. Stop hitting me already." Oikawa complained with teary eyes. "I would if you stop spacing out every-time. What are you thinking and how come you were on time?"
"I'm always on time." In a offended tone.
"No you are never on time. And stop avoiding the question, what are you thinking about that you have been spacing out?"
"I ........ don't know what you mean?" Avoiding looking in anyone's eyes. "Ahh we are going to be late for our classes if we go this slowly. Move, move. Oh man! I forgot my mobile in the locker room, see you in class bye."Oikawa said and ran away from everyone as if his life depended on it.
"Is he an idiot, we are all in same class?"Maki said looking where Oikawa disappeared.
All the third year were amused and curious to see Oikawa in this state from the morning after practice every chance oikawa got he was looking at his mobile typing and retyping but never send the msg to whom ever he wanted to he was nervous is to say the least. Last period before the break he was tired and sleeping before the period was over no one disturbed him. The bell rang no effect on Oikawa he was in deep sleep.
"What do you think is wrong with him? Do you think something happened?" Matsukawa said Iwaizumi in concerned voice while looking at Oikawa. "Not that i know of, I thought he was just being Oikawa yesterday when he didn't annoyed me when he got home and by looks of it he didn't sleep last night." He said as he narrowed his eyes in annoyance. "This idiot, the break will be over and he hadn't eaten anything today, let me wake him you guys go ahead." He said to other while rubbing his head. Others sneakered and left to let Iwaizumi deal with sleeping Oikawa and pitied both of them.
When they all left the classroom was empty he sat in front of Oikawa and thought he looked peaceful like this although he looked beautiful always and he never showed that he actually fall for this idiot though he will never act on them.  He slowly ran his hand through his friends hair before slowly shaking him to wake him. It didn't took much time. Oikawa slowly opened his eyes and was confused to see Iwaizumi in front of him he whispered "Hajime". Iwaizumi breath got caught in his throat and said to cover it "it's break com' on everyone is gone."
So he sat up straight to look around and relaxed realising he is in school and that he fall asleep in class which means Iwaizumi will be angry. "I couldn't sleep last night and no i was not on my mobile or playing games." He said and looked over to his best friend to see if he was angry.
"Ok! You can tell me what is on your mind while we go and eat because i know you forgot to eat this morning let's go!" He walked towards the door and stopped to wait for Oikawa. He slowly got up packed his things and walked towards Iwaizumi. And they walked towards cafeteria silently but Iwaizumi was getting impatient because Oikawa was getting on his nerves now and near shouted "would you tell me what are you doing with your mobile, just text already." Bringing Oikawa back to reality and he threw his mobile in the bag. "So, Iwa-chan can you give me your note of today I couldn't understand anything."
"No I won't till you tell me what is going on with you."
"Nothing"
"So you don't want notes ok fine with me" Iwaizumi said and kept walking straight without looking at Oikawa.
"But i want the notes I didn't wrote any today!" Oikawa accidentally blurted out.
"I know you were not paying attention but I thought at you would take notes!"he looked over at Oikawa because no matter what is going around him he is always attentive in classes which is the only other thing he really cares about other than volleyball.
Oikawas looked flustered not wanting to say that and wanting the notes. "It's not that i was just thinking about....ahhh... a future?" He said in not so much convincing tone.
"Are you asking me or tell me."
"But Iwa-chan!" He followed Iwaizumi whining to their volleyball team. They started bickering like normal and everyone thought may be it was nothing. Just leaving Iwaizumi he was still in doubt.
"Iwa-chan, can i ask you something?"Oikawa asked when they were alone. "Yeah, sure" without looking from the book.Oikawa opened and closed his mouth several times before finally asking"is it ok to think about a relationship at this time...?"
"What do you mean?"
"Like we are in our last year of school do you think it is wise to start a relationship?"
Iwaizumi closed his book and looked over at his friend who looked really serious and thought "no obviously not" before counting again after looking at the devastating look of his friend "i mean just like you said we won't be here for long and not everyone is going to he same or even going to the same university. And you cannot be sure about long distance relationships if you only dated for few months but ....if ... ahh you are serious about the person you should at least try. It can work out so yeah you should."
Oikawa listened carefully and then nob and sinked into his seat. Iwaizumi looked at him for some time because he knew there will be fee other questions as his friend was still restless. "Iwa-chan .... "
he looked at him and saw him looking at him "ahhh how do you know ....." he mumbled at the end Iwaizumi couldn't make it out what he said. "I couldn't hear what you said"
"How do you know you like someone."
Iwaizumi blinked at his friend for sometime and then laughed uncontrollably "shouldn't you know that by now with how many people you dated"
Oikawa just shrugged and said "com' on tell me please"with puppy-dog eyes.
I took in few breaths and rubbed my head and looked at the idiot and realised that he never liked anyone not even once he just dated because I couldn't say no he never could,could he. Before he could answer maki and Matsu came and joined them "what are you two talking about?"
"Nothing"Oikawa said before Iwaizumi could say anything. And looked out of the window. "What's with him today?" Maki asked Iwaizumi who in turn shrugged his shoulders and went to read his book. But he couldn't focus. All he could think was that Oikawa never like anyone ever that means he fallen in love with a person who doesn't even love him but also didn't even know he have feelings for him. He doesn't know what he should be feeling happy or sad that he didn't know or relieved or how his heart just got broken by his best friend and he can't even say it. So he said "you should ask someone how know what it's like to like someone." Without any emotions or even looking from his book.
He knew everyone is staring at him but he kept an emotionless face he couldn't look at anyone right now otherwise someone might realise. Maki asked in shocked voice to Oikawa "you like someone." Iwaizumi tried his best to ignore keeping his focus on the book. "No!" Oikawa reply and was probably no definitely glaring at Iwaizumi.
"No, he is just asking how would you know you like someone." Iwaizumi said in a plain teasing tone with batting a glance at him.
Both Maki and Matsu fell in fit of laughter. "Oh my gosh! This is absolutely gold. Ok. You really want to know?"Makki asked.
Oikawa mumbled a small yes. Matsu was looking at Iwaizumi trying and failing to read him because he had doubts that Iwaizumi like Oikawa but he kept a non interesting face. But every non and then the mask was falling and he was right that Iwaizumi liked him and Oikawa was really stupid to not know. Before makki could answer he had to get Iwaizumi out of here. Then i saw the answer right in-front of my eyes "Iwaizumi isn't today the last day to submit your book?"
"Huh..?" He looked confused and then looked at the date and mumbled "Oh man! Thanks Matsu" he said while making his way to the door. I called after him"hey can you take mine too i read it as well" giving him my book while he nodded. "So....ok when you are around the person you like your heart will beat faster. Whenever you walk into a room they are the first person you notice even in a crowded place. If you are close to them your thoughts sometimes get missed and you can't think straight. You stop breathing for moment. You feel incredibly happy around them and you want to make them happy as well probably do anything to make them happy and you can't stop thinking about them even when they are not around.. ! Actually you know there are many ways to tell i can go on and on but form your face i can tell you get what i am saying." Makki finished when he looked at Oikawa's face. "Yes, thank you, i get it."
