After a few more seconds of no reaction from either of you, he threw you on the ground near the exit, making you loose the hold on your weapon as you hit the watery ground.
He looked at you and then signaled the door with his eyes. You got up from the ground and ran to the door, it wasn't locked, and Hawks wasn't coming after you yet.
You gave one last confused look at the hero before running out of the room and down a hallway until you reached stairs. Dabi was nowhere to be seen, he must be gone already.
After another hallway you came to a door that you quickly opened as feathers flew past you, sticking to the wall like knifes. You turned around and saw Hawks flying after you.
Why let you escape if he was coming after you anyways? What was this game he was playing?
You ran out the open door and were now outside, there were no other buildings near by, the area was surrounded by a forest giving you only one escape route.
You started running towards the woods so you could hide there, but before you could reach it you were picked up from the ground.
Hawks was now carrying you by the waist as he flew high above the trees. You turned to look at him but he kept quiet and avoided your eyes.
You decided to shut your mouth for now, there was nothing you could do unless you wanted him to drop you down to your death.

After a long time of flying to a city Hawks finally landed on a roof of a tall building, it had to be over 20 stories high.
He let go of you and you instantly took a few steps away from him, getting into a fighting position as you observed his every move.
"You know I just helped you escape, right?" Hawks asked as he took a step closer to you, trying to calm you down.
"Wouldn't have been there in the first place if you hadn't taken me there" you said sternly, still ready to fight if Hawks was going to do something.
"Yeah.. Sorry about that.. I had to.. had to.." Hawks trailed off, not finishing his sentence. You looked him in the eyes with confusion and anger.
"Had to what? You are supposed to be a fucking hero! There is no way you needed to do any of that!" You yelled at the winged hero in front of you, letting your fists fall down.
He kept quiet and broke the eye contact to look into the distance.
"There is more to it that I can't tell you.. But I'm sorry.. About everything" Hawks said after a while, breaking the silence he created. You weren't sure what to answer him so you were quiet for a while
"Will I be able to go back to my normal life?" You asked, hoping to put everything behind you, but you knew things weren't that simple.
You still saw Hawks as a treath, helping you escape wouldn't change the fact that he knowingly handed you over to villains. You were held there for days even though you were asleep most of the time.
"Actually.. You need to lay low until the League of Villains is dealt with. They wanted you for your quirk...", Hawks started explaining, you couldn't believe the words he was saying.
"And you just handed me to them?" You interrupted him, getting angry again.
"There is no good way to explain my side of the story.." Hawks started as he rubbed the back of his head awkwardly.
"Anyways! I can't let you go back to your apartment. I have a place for you where you can hide until the danger is over" Hawks continued talking, you still weren't sure if you should trust him or not.
"Why not just take me to the police? I'm still a vigilante, the League can't reach me behind bars" you asked, confused why the hero would go through the trouble of hiding you.
