Roselle's pov

I grin and leap up from my coffin, tackling Elijah with a hug. I look around eagerly for Henrik and Mother. I could not care less about Father.

"Lijah, where is Mother? And Henrik?" I ask. All of my siblings immediately look... pitiful? "Wha-What has happened?"

"They're dead." Kol says. My small dainty, hands fly up to my mouth. Tears well up in the corner of my eyes and spill over the edges. I pull away from Lijah's embrace and run. Running outside and into the forest, I run to where Bekah, Henrik, Kol, Niklaus, Lijah, and I all used to play as children, only to find out that it was gone. I cry out once more and run past the ruins of our childhood playground and after awhile, I reach the end of the forest and what I see frightens me. This was not my village... this was not my village at all. I walk to a big cottage and stop in the middle of the dull, flat, gray ground. I hear something behind me, but I ignore it and stare at the cottage in amazement. I walk closer to it and onto the white, flat ground. This is the biggest cottage I have ever seen! I now notice my best friend. Maybe she could explain things to me? About this fascinating new world. I run up to Tatia, who is currently talking to a blonde girl, a black-haired girl, a black-haired man, and a brunette male. I tackle Tatia with a hug, as I am scared.

"Tatia! I am so scared! What happened to our village!?" I ask, glistening tears streaming down my face. The black-haired girl looks at me strangely. Tatia stiffens as I hug her.

"I'm... I'm not Tatia." She says. Not... Tatia? I try to register the unknown words. Then.. then who was she?

"This is the girl I was telling you guys about. The youngest Mikaelson, Roselle Mikaelson. And she's the only human Mikaelson." The black-haired girl says. The black-haired man smirks.

"Shall we see whether or not she can be compelled?" He says, walking closer to me. I back away and run into a dark and dirty opening on the side of the astonishing cottage. I trip over something wooden and fall to the ground.

"Damon, don't!" The black-haired girl says to the man. Damon nears me and kneels down so that his glorious baby blue eyes were leveled with my brown ones. His eyes hypnotize me. I am frightened. What is happening?

"Don't be scared," He cooes. Suddenly, I am scared no longer. "Come with me, and stay at my side until I say otherwise." He says, taking my hand. I nod and stand up, following him out of the dark opening. The blonde-brown haired man beside the Not-Tatia girl sighs in frustration and pinches the bridge of his nose.

"Damon, the hell did you do? The Mikaelsons are going to be pissed. You compelled their youngest sibling." He says with a groan.

"Yes, Stefan. You're certainly correct. We are pissed." I hear the voice of Rebekah say. I do not turn around, for Damon told me to stay at his side.

"Roselle, sweetheart, come here." Says Nik. I stay by Damon. I see him smirk.

"Damon said not to leave his side. I will not defy Damon." I say. The next thing I know, I hear a sickening snap and I see Damon lying dead on the ground. I blink a few times, in a daze. I turn around and see my family standing behind me. I run to Lijah's embrace and he holds onto me and hands me to Nik who blurs off with me, Bekah, Kol, and Finn following behind him. My siblings were no doubt supernatural beings. But what kind would have to wait for another time.

Elijah's pov

I watch as Niklaus and my siblings blur away with Roselle, restoring her to safety. I stay behind to deal with Elena, Bonnie, Caroline, and Stefan.

"You see, Bonnie, this is precisely why my siblings were so negligent to allow you to teach Roselle magic. She would be exposed to threats such as Damon, Stefan as well. Now please oblige me with reasons why I should still allow you to teach her?" I ask.

"You gave me your word, Elijah." Bonnie replies. She did indeed have a point. I sigh.

"You are right, Bonnie. I certainly did give you my word, but this is a family matter, and my motto is 'Family Above All,' and family matters are oh so more important than my word," I start to say. Using supernatural speed, I held Bonnie against the brick wall of the Mystic Grill by her throat. "And so you must realise that I can break my word as easily as I can rip Jeremy's or your heart out, so I will think about your teaching Roselle and I shall not be pestered about my decision until I make it. Am I making myself clear?" She nods and I drop her and blur away to the manor.

Roselle's pov

It has been an hour since my siblings have all told me what they are, what I am. Vampires, hybrids, and I am a witch. And now I am the only Original Witch, seeing as Mother is dead. I still have no idea what year it is.

"Wha-What year is it?" I ask.

"It's the twenty-first century." Nik tells me.

"A thousand years..." I mutter in disbelief. I wonder where Father is...

"If you're wondering where Father is, he's not currently a threat." Rebekah says. Of course my Best Friend Sister read my mind. "Now let's get you out of those clothes. They're so.... tenth century." She shudders, making me laugh. Time to look the part of material girl.
