Its finally 2020. The year everyone has been eagerly waiting for,the begging of a new decade. What could possibly go wrong? The horror all started on Wednesday 1st of January 2020. Everyone around the world is counting down to the start of something new, something good but only did we know one of the worst years is coming. Happy faces,good wishes ere getting shared by people buried the hatchet with each other nothing could be better. It took less than 24 hours for things to take a complete turn around for the worst. Threats about WW3 (world war three) started going round. People were talking about this everywhere on social media platforms,news channels and local newspapers. The exact reason for the world war wasn't exactly clear. There were rumors but no one really knew what was really going on. What is the first thing that come to mind when you hear the word 'world war'? Weapons and people shooting each other right ? Or am i wrong? Well that's what they want you to think. With the technology we have now a war doesn't have to be physical. For us to understand this we have to first know the correct and true definition of the word 'war'. War refers to a state of armed conflict between different countries or different groups within a country. In this definition the word physical doesn't appear there. Which justifies what i said. In January 2020 Iran and the US, plus Russia and India have experienced growing tensions. What does this mean? This means that something happened to both US,Russia and India that has cause conflict between them or they were provoked by one of the country's actions..On 3rd January 2020, a United States near Iranian major general of Iran's (IRGC) while he was planned to meet Iraqi PM (prime minister) in Baghdad. Nine others were killed alongside Soleimani, including Iranian and nationals such as deputy chairman of Iraq's PMF( The Presidential Management Fellows) and commander of the Iran-backed militia, a designated terrorist in the U.S. and in the UAE (United Arab Emirates) Do you now understand the magnitude of that means? They killed a very important man and innocent citizens that didn't deserve to die, children, mothers,fathers and the elderly. Ho would you feel if someone very close to you dies? bad right?
Sorry i haven't gotten the chance to introduce myself hello my name is jasmine Mutakha i am 16 years old and i live in Kenya located in east Africa. about a month and a half ago all sutudent were told to go home because of the rapid spread of COVID-19 also known as corona virus. i have been at home for a while now and trust me it is kinda boring. A lot has changed in the last one and a half months in Kenya. All social gatherings have been abolished including weddings and funerals , wearing a mask outside of your house is compulsory and most of all all work has been stopped. When the government first enforced these new rules everyone was against it until...things started getting serious . The number of cases kept increasing day by day which became undoubtedly scary. So then the government decided that we should have a curfew starting from 6PM-7AM which honestly does not make sense because everyone comes into less contact with other people at night which means that you mostly come into contact with people during the day, which hence increases the chance of someone contracting the virus.
