The Sanctuary

Chapter 1: Where it all started

Grey's POV:

   I wasn't looking forward to speaking with anyone that day, just looking forward to spending a day with my best friend, but of course, when he sees new potential members for his group, Jack has to confront them. Across from us about a couple of yards away he saw two people sitting with each other. I tried to convince him to ignore them but Jack doesn't listen to anyone, he hopped down and walked over to them with a fake smile I knew all too well. "Hey there!". The older of the two simply looked up at him and replied questionably "Hey...?" The younger of the two started talking to me, which I didn't mind seeing that the other two started talking about something I didn't care about. I found out that the girl was named Emma, she was the same age as me, we were both 14. What I didn't like about her was that she seemed to be getting extremely clingy, which bothered me at my highest peak, turning to ask Jack if we could leave I noticed that him and his new friend were gone. "Oh great..." I sighed to myself.

Jack's POV:

   He called himself Mask, which I seemed to find rather strange, I assumed it was a name he had given himself to hide his identity. I had no clue as to what he looked like, complimenting his name, he had a mask on that didn't show much of his face, it didn't matter to me though, I led him into the woods where my group's hide-out was. We followed the sounds of voices until we came into a random clearing in the middle of the forest, there were 5 people training, using things like trees or bushes as obstacles for their form of exercise. "Listen up! I brought someone for you guys to meet." My group had stopped what they were doing and approached to meet the new guy. When I knew I had everyone's attention I started to speak, "Guys, this is Mask, Mask meet my team, that's Astrid, Evergreen, Gloria, Cynthia, and Rea". Mask simply waved, the first one who greeted him was Rea.

Rea's POV:

   Mask was the first new guy that we had in two years, I was excited for the most part, but that's how I usually am with most new guys, because if I showed my true self.. it would end up turning into a hate-filled relationship, and I didn't want that this time. "Hey! I'm Rea, 16 years old just to let you know" I had a rather childish look, I even had a childish voice as if I hadn't hit puberty yet. I was also fairly small height-wise, being only  5,3. "So is Mask your real name?.." I asked but he didn't reply, I didn't decide to ask him again in case it started to annoy him, I started asking him questions but most of them weren't replied to. "You can't let him know the real you.." I thought I kept my "positive" attitude in order to try at least make a new friend, but what I didn't know that my relationship with Mask would grow...

Ehehe....this is my first story on Wattpad but I tried my best, I'll be updating this story every weekend starting next weekend.
