Judging Criteria

What prospect judges need to know:

1. You need to read quickly - it shouldn't take you over 3 days to complete a book. 
2. You need to have good editing skills - you will be required to do an editing quiz when you apply. 
3. It is preferred if you have judging experience. 
4. We recommend that you only apply if you are 18 or over
5. You need to have the time to judge
6. You will be required to follow a rubric but you will also be required to think for yourself and make intuitive decisions
7. You need to be able to provide valuable feedback to the writer. Not just "I didn't like it" or "it's not my taste". You need to be fair and not make opinion-based decisions.

Below is the criteria each story will be judged on. At the end of every competition we host, all entrants will get the below filled in with what tier they got for each category - 1 being the lowest score and 6 being the highest.
