doctor: "I'm afraid tobe's voice box was shredded beyond repair. he may never speak again."

Tobe was laying on his bed, sunlight shining on his face from his window- wait since when was there a window next to his bed? He sat up groaning and looked around realizing he was in a hospital room and shivered at the memory of the last time he was here he looked down and saw that he was also in a hospital gown. He breathed in deeply then let the breath out just as the door opened and in came nurse who was looking at the clipboard in their hand. They looked up at tobe surprised but calmed down almost immediately, and walked towards him
nurse:" good morning tobe, I'm here to check up on you alright"
Tobe noded too confused to really respond. The nurse walked over to him with a popsicle stick
Nurse:"go aaahh"
Tobe was confused but did as he was told but the second he tried to make the sound his throat erupted in pain and he gasped bring his hands to his throat coughing violently. the nurse dropped the popsicle stick and ran up to him rubbing his back. Once his coughing fit was over he slowly realized that he had bandages around his neck he looked confusedly at the nurse who explained that his voice box was completely destroyed and that the doctors did everything they could but his voice box was far too damaged to really do anything. He sighed and looked worriedly at the nurse as she picked up the popsicle stick off the ground and threw it in the trash. Grabbing a new one she looked back at tobe
Nurse: "let's try that again shall we?"
IM SO SORRY I TOOK SO LONG TO POST THIS at first I was just procrastinating but then I lost my phone!!! I found it today thankfully and finally finished chapter 4 thank God. I'm soo so so so sorry I was gone so long and I'll try my best not to do something like that again! Anyway hope you liked this chapter have a good day/night~⭐
