Aspen Gray wasn't a greedy person. All she wanted was for her boyfriend, Charles Moore, to propose to her, Charles' mom to like her, and to be able to enjoy her mundane life in peace.

Of course, life doesn't always go the way we want it to.

The day started completely normal. Aspen and Charles went through their morning routines, before it was time to go to Charles' mother's house for dinner, where Aspen once again feels like the black sheep of a family she's not even an official part of.

She fully expected Charles' mother, Cindy, to make backhanded remarks. She expected Cindy to insist on being the center of attention, even when her eldest daughter is pregnant and her youngest daughter just got engaged. 

What Aspen didn't expect, however, is for Charles to rip off his sister's arm with his teeth.
