Alright. I can do this, I can do this, I can-

"I can't do this!" you pace back and forth, eventually curling up in on yourself once more. You've come to accept the Batter is in your room, chests contain disembodied eyes and text boxes pop up out of thin air, but this next thing is a different beast of it's own.

"You're overreacting." the Batter shrugs, his lack of understanding making a comeback.

You gawk at the man in disbelief, almost like he insulted your family and your cow. "Overreacting??" you repeat. Getting up to angrily stomp your way towards the bedroom door, opening wide open to reveal an unnatural endless pitch black void. "How can I be over-reacting? my entire department is gone!" You point at the dark space. The Batter shrugs once more, so you stomp towards your bedroom window, pulling back the sheet to show the same, starless dark mass.

"There's nothing to fear about the nothingness, it's just a convenient means of transportation," The Batter attempts to minimize the issue, but his monotone voice makes him sound like a condescending teacher. "We have a mission, you can't let every scary thing stop you from accomplishing it." he reaffirms.

You puff your cheeks, pointing a finger at him ready to argue but you knew he's right- to an extent. "I just think it's freaky. Even in the game I never liked being in the nothingness for too long, the creepy whispers get to me ya know?" you rub your arm, feeling a shiver run up your spine.

"What whispers? I never hear anything."

You could only feel another shiver crawl up your spine.

Batter grumbled under his breath. "Okay, I can admit it's a bit intimidating at first but it's nothing to fret," Batter sighs, deciding to take a more amicable approach. "Here, I'll show you." he walks past you and heads into the dark void.

You cautiously followed behind him, afraid that the flooring would give in and make you fall. But luckily that never happened. It feels like what you've imagine space travel to be like, slow steps when running in a pool, jumping higher than normal and even feeling lighter. It would be ten times cooler if the scenary wasn't too lacking. Just a vast dark room, like a starless night sky. The only thing you do see is the words 'world map' floating in the distance.

"What's that?" you ask the Batter, catching up to inspect some color marks on the floor.

"Different zones I assume." he touches the spots, unable to access them.

However, things reacted differently when you interact with them.

Bathing Room.

That was enough to raise an eyebrow from you.

You checked out the other zones, going one by one in each in order.
Kitchen

Coexistence Room.

With Employment & Academic Center being the last in line.

The other zones remain inaccessible, with the exception being the first Room. You held a hand to your chin, contemplating the meaning behind these 'rooms'. Why did your department disappear? Who knows, but it's something you can get to the bottom of it. "Let's start here. I want figure out what's going on and get some reasonable answers," You told the Batter, crouching in front of the first colored spot.

"If we have a goal there's gonna be things that might stop us, doesn't that scare you?" Batter asks you, if you listen carefully you can tell he's teasing you after your breakdown.

"Of course it does, I'm absolutely terrified," you chuckle. "But I have you by my side." you smile at the man.

The Batter kept his eyes on you for a moment. Although you couldn't see it there was a modest smile painted on his lips, glad to see you take initiative.
