River God Ilissos transported secretly away

Now seen gracing St Petersburg’s State Hermitage.

I am sad today to read this news, I found

I want to shout, but my voice makes no sound.

It catches in my throat and makes me choke with rage.

The museum of the world, the British Museum in London

Lends a stolen fragment from the Parthenon

The unmovable special collection that is well known

But we see now oh Ilissos to Russia’s Hermitage you are now

Yet they said, that those precious fragments could never be moved.

Too fragile to make the trip back to Athens was the decree

Back to the Acropolis Museum. How long have we asked

for them to be sent back to the Attica and the Acropolis Museum?

NEARLY 200 years!

WHY are they blind to the hurt of the world?

This makes so many and all who believe

That these marbles, should only be in one place.

To boil and rage, at the Museum

of stolen sculptures from the Parthenon.

Oh old river god, headless you may be Ilissos

But the Greeks and Philhellenes throughout the world are your voice.

And we all roar with anger at that world museum,

 the one in London,

the British Museum.

The one that has so many stolen Artifacts.

I urge all Russians now to seek the truth.

To search and find answers, how Britain has

in its museum collection, these Marbles.

How river god Ilissos came to grace

St Petersburg’s Hermitage, in Russia.

LET US ALL shout, collectively

Out loud and long: so they know

THEY ARE STOLEN and

MUST BE REUNITED safely!

Back to the Acropolis

I cried today,

Tears,

Rivers of my own outrage at this news.

And this link, which cannot be tweeted. It is far too long.

The British Museum, a world museum, has no fear

It doesn’t hear the WORLD of voices, all loud and clear.

The RIVER GOD should return to Greece.

The British Museum has no lease.

This treasure, this headless god, this marbled statue, Ilissos

is not really theirs you must understand the Ancient Greeks

did not live in London Town except as Roman slaves.

It is sad that the bigger nations still rule with this attitude

Over their smaller nations who see them as friends.

So you see the River God Ilissos

He belongs with other fragmented sculptures from the Parthenon,

in Athens, in its museum, the only Acropolis Museum in this world.

Two halves, literally, two halves of one work of art, deserve togetherness.

British Museum, LONDON’s world museum,

reunite your half with that in ATHENS, in the Acropolis Museum.

The Parthenon Marbles true home their only sensible place

To be viewed to be seen in the right understanding of completeness.

STOLEN each and every stone.

SHAME on you British Museum.

Shame  you won’t listen to your own.

The voices of your own people cry out for the RETURN.

Stolen, each and every stone, stolen!

The Parthenon Marbles must  go back

To be seen by all

In that light, with the view of the Parthenon.

FACT did you know that on the scale of things the Acropolis Museum is number 8

And as for London's Pride it stands as just the sixteenth. I really must laugh at that.
