K was about to say something before she walks away to the bathroom, locking the door behind her. He sighs, mutter profanities towards the door before grabbing random clothes and walking into the other bathroom.

"I heard that, K!" She yells from the other bathroom. "Shut the fuck up and hurry it up already."

"How the hell did you —" K yells, confusingly.

A loud bang echoed in the room. K can only assume that N didn't bother to reply and just hit the side of the bathroom wall to shut him up.

C runs ahead, looking around the various shops that the Academy has to offer. She looks back to see T doing the same thing he was doing inside the dorm.

"T! What the hell? Hurry up, you can fiddle with the watch later. The other two might already be done by now!" C yells, barely being heard in the bustle of the main building.

He groans, putting his arm down. He jogs up to her and walks beside her. He almost loses track of her as she runs ahead into one of the stores.

Sighing, he slowly walks into the store she went into and sits down next to the entrance. Looking down at the watch again, he notices a message was sent to him.

From K:

Coming down to meet you guys. Stay where you are, N is taking forever. I'll ring you when we get there.

Almost immediately, he gets another message.

From N:

Ignore him. He's the one who is taking forever since he insists his hair has to be perfectly messy, whatever that means. Tell C to stay in the store she's in and don't you dare move. She's lucky we have the "government-issued" card or whatever. And if you hear anything about us, ignore it. I fear we all caught some attention from our classmates during Training.

Right when he finished reading her message, he started to hear people around him talk.

"You know, I'm surprised the new girl can fight that well," A boy standing next to a store nearby was talking to two other people. T listened as if they meant for him to hear what they were saying. He looks over to them, quietly watching as they laugh.

"The brunette, right? She was keeping up with the other guy pretty well. But you saw her, right? On top of that, she's pretty hot. She can fight well and is pretty hot. What a great combination," One of his friend's mentions while smirking.

"You guys are scumbags. Stop vying over a girl who will never notice you," A blonde-haired girl retorts. "But truly, I wonder what her ability is if she even has one. Didn't you see, none of them have superpowers or even a measly ability? Not even a perk, either. The four of them were just sparring the entire training period. And I wonder what her deal is with the other three people she's constantly with."

When she said her final remark, she immediately looks at T and smiles. The boys she was with also look before walking away in the opposite direction. T continues to watch them before the three of them disappear. His eyebrows furrow. He doesn't know what to do.

K and N manage to find him staring off into the distance. N snaps her fingers in front of him.

"T. Dude, what's wrong with you?" K asks, looking around to see what he was staring at. "What are you staring at?"

He looks up to see K looking at him, confused. N was just staring at him until her eyes light up with realization. K sees that and looks at her questioningly. N just shakes her head and looks at T.

"People were talking about us, weren't they?" She asks, her arms crossed as she stands in front of him. "I told you to ignore it."

"How'd you know people would start talking?" K asks, leaning his arm on her shoulder. "And how did you know T overheard people talking about us?"

"I noticed after we were finished training, people were watching us talk at the benches. I can only assume that they saw us sparring and only sparring. Any information about us spreads like a wildfire. Especially when we were the only four people to come to the Academy later than everyone else has," N explains, shrugging K's arm off of her. He says nothing and places it back on her shoulder.

C finally comes out of the store and sits next to T on the bench. She finally notices the other two standing in front of the bench, "Oh, hey N. Hey K."

"Have a nice trip to the stores?" K quips, looking at her. She nods grinning.

"So we have to be careful or who knows what people could be talking about," T mutters, staring at the ceiling.

"Precisely," N responds, nodding her head.

"Were people talking about us out here, too?" C questions, looking at N. "These stupid sons of bitches are so nosy, my gosh. People inside the store were talking about both N and I. It was getting annoying so I left the area but damn it, in every area I walked to, someone was talking about us, whether it was us or the boys. Eventually, I had enough and came to you guys."

"We do have to be careful when we're not in the dorm room. I feel like someone might screw us over in the future if people keep talking about us this way. It's only a matter of time before we may get targetted by someone stronger than us," T mutters, looking around. "People may get an idea of attacking us because we are currently powerless."

"Too late," N mutters after looking around one last time. Her eyes widened. She pushes K forward and whispers, "Move it. Now. We need to leave. Something bad is about to happen."

N grabs T and C before rushing towards the elevator hall. Just as they moved from their spot, a fireball comes and burns the benches they were sitting at. The fire alarm immediately comes on and the students are escorted back to their rooms. The Core Four slowly make their way to an elevator despite the fire alarm going off. They can only assume it's safe since the Academy is seemingly technologically advanced.

"How did you know?" K asks as they wait for an elevator. It wasn't long before the elevator arrives and the doors open.

"Not here. I'll explain when we get into the dorm room," She says, as she boards the elevator. The others soon follow, interested to hear her explanation.
