'Sure Doc, we'll be with you in half an hour,' Axel disconnected the call with Dr. Roberts, 'we are having a team meeting at Phil Roberts' office with an unidentified party in an half hour boys so get your shit together to go in ten minutes,'

Raven grunted from his bedroom doorway, dark hair tousled from sleeping before leaving to decide which guns he was taking.

Brandon threw down the game controller and headed for his own room while his twin Corey looked up from his laptop with his aqua blue eyes,

'Any info on what the assignment is?' Axel shrugged,

'Nope. I'd tell you if I knew so you could dig further. Phil will let us know when we get there.'

'No idea of who this unid'd party is either then?' Marc chipped in from the kitchen.

Axel gave both Corey and Marc his cold leader eyes before patiently repeating himself, 'Right now I have no fucking clue beyond what I've said,' That reply told both his team members that he wasn't happy with the lack of intel and them poking him about it further would not end well. They both wrapped up what they'd been doing and went to wait in the team's Jeep. Axel sat in the driver's seat. Brandon, came out of the apartment complex pulling on a jacket as he ran his fingers through his light blonde hair and finally the large tattooed Russian vacated Sargent Jasper and silently slid into his seat in the Jeep. Raven had clearly chosen to gear up heavily, there were at least six visible bulges where he'd stashed weapons on his body, not counting the items not visible to the discerning eye.

'For fuck's sake, Ray! We're headed to Phil Robert's office, not a war zone,' Corey grumbled,

'Better safe than unhappy' was Raven's emotionless response as he fastened his seat belt.

'Sorry, Raven. Better safe than sorry.' Corey was constantly attempting to improve Raven's English skills.

'Same,' Raven grunted unconcerned. Russian was his first language and he spoke English well enough as far as he was concerned.

The car ride was quiet but the tension that had plaqued the team was missing for the first time in two months. Splitting with their bird had taken its toil on all the team members. Realising that Kayli had been stringing them along in their poly family while keeping her ex as a Plan B had hurt some worse than others but had definitely impacted badly on all of them none the less. Axel was pleased and relieved as he sensed peace and a willingness to move forward as a collective from his brothers.

Arriving at the hospital, the five man team filed silently out of the car and through the hospital reception rooms toward Dr. Roberts' office door, where unbeknownst to them Sang had stood seven hours before. Phil's voice came from down the hallway,

'Join me in the conference room, please, Toma team,' Phil called from the doorway, curling his hand in the 'come here' motion toward himself.

Once they were all sat around the conference room table, Phil started speaking,

'I've been in talks with the Academy board about the creation of an all ghost team. Now that Kayli has left the Toma team, there are no non ghost team members in the Toma team. I want all of you to join together with a ghost bird to make a covert team, the Ghost team. Further, Kevin wants to rejoin your team. As he and Mindy have parted company and Kayli is out of the picture, he said he would like to come home,'

The Toma team members all looked toward their team liaison, Axel, a silent conversion passed between them through their eyes.

Are you boys on for this? Axel levelled at them all, particularly Corey and Marc, knowing they would be the most likely to have reservations about having a permanent bird.
