Chapter three - just "friends"

Y/N woke up with messy hair and got up from her bed.

She stretched and yawned.

"well, another crazy day ahead of me." she said.

she got dressed and went outside just to find out....

"HICKORY! Oh um h-h-hi how are you?" she was so surprised she fell down.

Hickory's hand goes to her just to help her up.

"let me help ya up, Lassie." he said.

all Y/N could see was there was a shiny glow around his hand as a Heavenly choir was singing.

She kept staring at his hand before Hickory said, "Uh, you okay?"

she embarresedly got up from the dirt and wiped the dust off.

"Oh, uh y-y-yes."

"So, how are you today?" he asked.

She Blushed. "I'm good, what about you?"

"Good." He said with his grain in his mouth.

"yeah." she says.

Suddenly, Delta Dawn comes in between them.

"Hey guys, how you doing over here?" she said making her sister weirded out.

"Uh Ummmm good, what about you?" Y/N said.

"Oh yes, I'm good." Delta said.

The Orange Mayor looked at Hickory.

"Hey, Hickory." Delta says.

Hickory looks up.

"Yeah, Delta?" He asked.

"I hear that there's a rumor that, Somebody has a crush on you." she stared at her sister Y/N as she began to Blush.

"hey, I bet it's Y/N that has a crush on you!" she shouted to Hickory.

Hickory's eyes widened.

"Um, I don't think that she has a crush on me I mean we are just friends!" The Troll pretended to laugh trying to make it sound real.... unfortunantly Y/N actually bought it.

(Don't worry it'll all be lovely at the end.)

Delta looks at her sister knowing that she was offended.

"I have to go. Bye, Hickory..." she said and walked away.

Delta felt completely terrible for her sister.

"Y/N, I'm sorry." she says.

Y/N goes back home and starts to sing a song.

Woke up late today and I still feel the sting of pain

but I brushed my teeth anyway,

I got dressed through the mess and put a smile on my face

I got a little bit stronger

Riding in the car to work, and trying to ignore the hurt

So I turn on the radio, stupid song made me think of you-

Suddenly, Growly pete starts using his weird gibberish.

"Growly, Growly, Growly, Growl?!"

TRANSLATION:

"Shut your pie hole can't you see I'm trying to sleep?!"

Y/N sighed as she walked back home without singing.

Could Hickory be true of saying that she was just his Friend?
