I'm going to quickly go through the things that the writers changed or got wrong. The yellow brick road was actually called the yellow brick pavement but "that doesn't really have a nice ring to it." The movie and book basically got mostly everything else right expect when they had to change some parts so it wouldn't be rated R. They covered the full story of the Wizard of Oz "The Great and Terrible" well at least they got the terrible part correct. I'm surprised they wrote in the movie that he was a phony and a charlatan, because of ratings you know? When Dorothy first landed in Oz (cough cough) on top of me, the munchkins thought she was crazy because she was calling for her Auntie Em, and if you say it out loud it kinda sounds like ATM. Just picture a girl yelling "ATM? ATM? Where are you? ATM?"
