Her blood was a ruby river.

"Hahaha," a lady laughed.

"Tenth one today! A new record for us," a man exclaimed.

They both laughed as they entered their car, a black Volkswagen.

"Mummy?," a little girl, in the car, asked.

"What?!," the lady replied harshly.

"Are we home yet?,"the little girl asked again.

"No! Now play with your dolls or mummy will throw them away!," the lady turned facing her daughter.

"O-okay m-mummy," the little girl mumbled, a little shaken from her mum's threat. The lady turned back, facing the front and started talking to the man. While the little girl played with her dolls, the couple chuckle in the midst of the night, ready for their next adventure, in Melbourne, Australia.

Jasmine's POV

Vroom! Vroom! The sound of a car woke me up from my sleep. I quickly ran towards my bedroom window, peeping outside to see what's going on. Slam! Slam! Slam! Three car doors shut one after the other, waking up Joel on the process.

"Jasmine, what's going on?," Joel asked in his sleepy voice.

"I think we have new neighbours," I replied.

"What?!," Joel shouted.

"Joel and Jasmine Anderson! Come here immediately," my mum, Chloe, shouted.

"Coming mum!," I replied, "you didn't have to shout douchebag!".

Joel rolled his eyes as we made our way downstairs.

"Firstly don't shout, because your dad is sleeping," mum said when we came down from our shared bedroom. Joel and I share a room because, dad needs a study room. Mum and dad needs a bedroom, and we only have three rooms.

"Good morning mother!," my brother said happily.

Ignoring my brother mum said, "Secondly, we have new neighbours, and I know it's very surprising, but treat them nicely."

"Okay mum," I replied while Joel just nodded.

We went back upstairs to get ready for the day. When we arrive in our bedroom, I shotgun the wardrobe to get ready first. My yellow summer dress is slightly above my knees and my hair was braided into a French braid. I slipped on my light brown sandals and walked out of the walk-in wardrobe. I go downstairs and eat breakfast while waiting for Joel. Mum wants us to go on a walk every Saturday. Joel walked down the stairs with his favourite blue t-shirt, black shorts and white converse shoes. His hair slicked back by gel.

"Nice combination," I said sarcastically.

"Very funny," he replied, rolling his eyes.

At that very moment, my mum and dad came downstairs. My mum wore a white tip with designs and blue jeans, while dad wore white t-shirt with black jeans and black Nike runners. Mum's hair was left out and straightened, while dad's was slicked back.

"We are going on a breakfast date thing," my dad said, answering the thoughts in my head.

"Remember the welcome the new neighbours on your walk," mum said, slipping on her white sandals.

"Bye!," mum and dad chorused together.

"Come on," Joel said straight after the door shut.

"Coming," I replied, putting my bowl in the sink. I followed my brother outside to start walking.
