Cheerleading Romance

Cheer Practice.

I packed some things in my Infinity cheerleading backpack and walked to my car. I was leaving an hour early because Daniel and I were gonna meet at Starbucks. Practice started at 5:00 and I was leaving at 3:56. We had plenty of time.

"Hey Daniel." Hey Y/n. Ready for practice?" Yeah, you better be a good base this practice. NCA(National Cheerleaders Association) is coming up soon!" I said playfully punching him in the arm." You're right, we only have 2 weeks." He said smiling. "I can't believe we have to go all the way to Texas for that comp(competition)." I complained. "I know right." He said agreeing. We finished eating at 4:45, so we decided to go to practice early.

When we got there, we talk to Corbyn and Jack. They are always early. That's the opposite for Zach. But for Jonah he's always exactly on time. It's pretty weird. Anyways, Daniel is my main flyer. Jonah sometimes pitches in to be my flyer, but only for 2 stunts. We have 5 total. I'm a main flyer for all of them, especially because I'm very flexible.

We started practice with our usual warm ups. Stretching, stunts tumbling, and jumps. When we finished that, we did our first full out(A full out is doing the whole routine). The usual time for routines is 2 minutes. It's rarely 3 minutes but it can be close. If you think a full out is easy, your wrong. It's really hard. And it's only 2 minutes and 40 seconds!

Daniel makes it easier by being a great base. Jonah is also amazing. They make it a breeze. We are a level 6 team. I have 30 teammates in including me. We are such good friends. But Zach, Jack, Jonah, Daniel, and Corbyn are closest to me. We just have a lot in common. Anyways, practice is almost over.

*After practice* "So, what did Navarro say?" Daniel asked. "They said I had a really good chance. They'll get to me tomorrow." I said. If you don't know what Navarro is then here they are.

They are the greatest team. My dream cheer team too. I went to try outs and I might just make it. But I'm not sure. "One second Daniel, Zach's calling." I said. "Hello?" I said into the phone. "Hey!" He answered. "I was wondering if you'd like to go to dinner tomorrow." He said shyly. "Sure! Yes, I would like to." I said happily. "I'll talk to you tomorrow about it. Bye." He said. "Bye! Love yo- I mean see you later." I stuttered. I hung up the phone and looked at Daniel.

"Zach just asked me out." I said nervously. " Oh, wow." Daniel said, obviously upset. "You okay? I ask, putting my hand on his shoulder. "Yeah, I'm fine. I'm gonna go now. Bye." He walked away before I could say anything else. Weird, I thought to myself. I went to my car and decided to stop at Target.

I only got snacks to put in my fridge and cabinet. I live in a college dorm. But I'm transferring to Navarro College soon. It will make my chances higher, so that I can get into Navarro Cheer. I took a shower cause I smelled terrible from practice. Once I finished cleaning up, I made some dinner and watched Netflix while eating.

*Knock Knock* I got up to get the door. It was Zach. "Hey, what are you doing here?" I asked. "Can I stay the night?" He asked. My eyes widened in surprise. "Sure, but why?" My door mate is being annoying." I told you not to request for a door mate." I said slightly laughing. "Anyways, come in." I said moving out of his way. "Im just watch a movie right now if you wanna join." I offered. "Sure I'll watch it with you." He said.

I gave Zach some of the food I made and we just relaxed. Later on we made brownies and played games. "Hey Y/n, where will I sleep?" About that, since I live alone we have to share the bed." I explained. "That's fine. I mean, we're team mates." He said smiling. Zach sat on my bed as I cleaned up. As I was throwing away our trash , Zach came up behind me and wrapped his arms around me.

"What are you doing?" I said, turning around still in his arms. "Your just gorgeous." He said, staring into my eyes. He kissed me... I kissed him back. It turned into a make out  session, leading to the bed. I pulled away. "Zach, let's go to sleep before we get carried away." I said smiling.

"Your right." He said as he got into the covers. I laid next to him. "Goodnight Zach." Goodnight." I was facing away from him but he pressed his body against mine. "Sorry, I don't want to fall off the bed." He said. "It's fine." I said laughing. He put his arms around my waist and we both fell asleep.
