20: before Eun Danoh, there was Hyun Seol

Seol looks at Joon and understood him right away. Then she looks back at the young boy and walks over towards him. "Your name is Haru starting from now on," she tells him, proudly.

"...Day?" Haru asked in confusion.

Seol nods and Joon tells him, "Yes, 'day'. That's the literal translation. In another language, like Japanese, it means 'light', 'sun', and 'male'. Other translations are clear weather or spring."

"And it's not just that, but spring just came back today and the weather outside is clear, too!" the 8-year-old exclaims, making her father smile at his two, bright children.

Then Haru smiles and said, "Then that should be my name."

M02: FRIENDS

LADY HYUN SEOL ; 10 YEARS OLD

"Haru! Come and get me!" Seol shouts as she runs away from her adopted brother.

She laughs out loud, too happy and focused in her own little game that she didn't see the young boy standing a few feet away from her.

"SEOL! LOOK OUT!" Haru shouts as he sees a familiar face.

But Seol didn't hear him and had already bumped into the other kid. She fell on top of him and heard the young boy groaned in pain. Then she quickly apologizes and stands up. She then sees a handsome, young boy around her age and his death glare. She gulped nervously and apologizes again. Then Haru stood beside her and helped the young boy up to his feet. He also apologizes to him, making Seol look at the young boy in shock.

"Y-you're... Y-you're the Second Prince?" She gasped, Haru instantly shushing her. Then she bows and apologizes again.

"Stop saying you're sorry, it's getting on my nerves," The Second Prince exclaims while dusting himself.

"Oh... Um... I'm so-" Seol stopped right away when she gets another death glare from the royal-blooded boy. 

Then the Second Prince looks at the two and raises his eyebrow at Haru. "You're Lord Hyun's adopted son, right? The one who my father had asked for... to be my personal bodyguard," He asked, eyeing the other boy.

"Yes, you're Highness," Haru answers back while holding onto Seol's hand.

The Second Prince sees this and looks at Seol. Then he tells her, "And you're Lord Hyun's daughter. I've heard a lot about you from your older brother, Hyun Joon. He talks so highly of you whenever your father brings him, and I've always wondered why, but now with what just happened, you're just a clumsy, naive girl."

Seol no longer felt bad for what happened and clenched her free hand into a fist. 

"And what about you, Your Highness? You're just a boy, a human boy. You're just like me, but with a higher title that will be nothing when you leave this world. So, don't you dare speak to me like that ever again."

Haru's eyes went wide at his sister's words and were about to apologize again to his future master. But the young Prince smirked and said, "Then I take back my words, Miss Hyun. You may be clumsy and naive, but... I like you, you're different. We should be friends."

M03 (Pt.1): COURT-LADY-IN-TRAINING

LADY HYUN SEOL ; 11 YEARS OLD
