After Dusk

Prologue

"It's not working"

"Then let's make it work!" I shouted

"I tried hun, I really tried, but I'm tired"

Di na ako makakita nang maayos dahil sa mga luhang umaagos pero patuloy na namumuo

"So what do you want me to do?" hindi siya nagsalita

Napaupo ako sa sahig at umiyak lang nang umiyak. My heart hurts so bad. Umupo din siya para magkalebel kami at pinunasan niya yung luhang umaagos sa mukha ko

"I'm tired too. Pagod na pagod na ako sa sitwasyon natin pero I decided to stay kasi mahal kita" I whispered pero yung maririnig niya

"I'm sorry"

"Tell me, anong gusto mong mangyari?" I asked while looking at him in the eye

"I..." Iniwas niya yung tingin niya sa akin

"I want us to end" because of that my heart finally broke into pieces

"You said you'll stay through thick and thin pero iniwan mo na ako hindi pa nga nagsisimula yung laban" I tried to stand up without his help and walked away

I thought we're strong enough to face this challenge. I thought we'll overcome this. I thought dusk has finally ended and dawn is starting to come

But I was wrong.

The dusk is just starting.
