Prologue

The sun was shining brightly in the clear blue sky, lifting my mood instantly. There in a distance was an ice cream van with a long line of kids and parents waiting for their mouth-watering ice creams. With the sun out it tempted me to a cold drink but decided to come back when there wasn't much rush.

I turned towards the beach as I started to run down the wooden stairs excitedly knowing who would be waiting down at the beach for me. As soon as I spotted his mop of blonde hair I screeched in happiness before dashing down so I could wrap my arms around the gorgeous hunk. As soon as I reached him he held his hand out for me so I could slip mine in his but before I could grasp his hand, the clear blue sky started to turn grey.

I looked up to see the warm day that made me feel happy was replaced with a cold feeling as the wind picked up speed. My hair flew in every direction and the waves started to rush in causing people to run away. I looked back at the guy standing in front of me with his deep blue eyes staring back at me waiting for me to put my hand in his, I wanted to feel safe and I know he was the one to protect me from everything. I extended my hand as soon as I felt his palm scrape against my fingertips I knew the connection between us will save me from this dreadful incident because he always made me feel safe. However, I started to move away from him as the wind flew me back. I tried to push against the wind and try to reach him but I flew further and further back. I couldn't see him anymore which caused my heart to ache and the fear started to settle as I tried to think where I was being blown to.
