Hybrid-Shifters:

Shifters make up 5% of the hybrid community. Their rare genes allow them to transform into their animal counterparts, making them high in demand by collectors everywhere. The shifters instinct is superiors to a non-shifter. They are territorial.
All hybrids have distinct tails and ears.

Non-Shifter Hybrid:

The nons make up the rest of the hybrid population. They carry their distinct ears and tail from their animal counter parts, but their instincts are not of that of a shifters.

Scenting:
It is very intimate and private amoungst hybrids. Only pack members and close friends use. To scent someone you dont know is considered rude and disrespectful.

The scent glands are located on the neck and are sensitive to touch.

Bonding:

Most hybrids "bond" and form packs. Bonding is seen as claiming a mate.

The bonding gland is located right below the scent gland
