Chapter 2: First Date

Sorry about the weird video above haha the lyric videos for that song won't work on Wattpad. It's a great song though and when I was writing this chapter and the next I thought about it :)

{Dan's Pov}

Around noon, I decided to text Alex.

Here's our conversation:

Dan: Hey Alex! It's Dan :)
Alex: Hi Dan!
D: So what's up?
A: Nothing much, just sitting in my hotel room by myself, lol. hbu?
D: Sitting in my bedroom by myself haha
A: Haha sounds fun
D: :)
D: Do you want to hang out tomorrow?
A: Ya, I'd love to!
D: Sweet! Do you want to go out to lunch or something?
A: Ya that sounds good. You can pick the place, I don't really know what's around here.
D: Ok :) What hotel are you staying at?
A: The Bloomsberry Hotel. It's on the same road that we met on.
D: Ok. I'll meet you there tomorrow around noon.
A: ok :)

I jumped out of bed and told Phil about Alex and our date tomorrow.

"I'm happy for you bro. You need to get out of the house more and meet new people." Phil said, smiling brightly.

I just rolled my eyes and laughed.

{Alex's Pov}

I've been in London for three days, and I already have a date with a hot British guy! x)

After texting Dan and making lunch plans for tomorrow, I got out of bed, and got dressed. Today was just going to be a lazy day, just chilling at the hotel, maybe get a massage or something haha.

---- The Next Day ----

Today's the day that I'm hanging out with Dan. I'm so excited!

I got up, did my makeup and got dressed.

I put on a white and pink floral dress that ended right above my knees, and paired it with sandals. I grabbed my phone and hotel key card off the nightstand and a small white purse out of my suitcase and  and left my hotel room.

As I rode down in the elevator to the lobby, I started getting nervous. What if I blew it with this guy?

I got to the lobby and saw Dan outside. I walked out and said
"Hi Dan!"
"Hello Alex!" He replied.

He started to walk to the right and I followed him.

"So where are you from?" he asked me.

"I live in California currently, I'm was born and raised in Wisconsin. I'm here on a two week vacation. London for a week then going to stay with my cousin for a week."

"Cool! So how are you liking London so far?"

"I absolutely love it here! It's big and beautiful and fun! It's awesome being in a big city."

Dan smiled.

We made it to a pizza place and Dan did all the typical first date stuff. He held the door open for me and pulled my chair out for me, it was super cute.

We ordered drinks, then shortly after, we ordered a pizza.

While eating pizza, we made small talk.

"So what do you do for work?" I asked him.

"Well," he started.

"This is going to be weird, but I don't have a normal job, I film, edit and upload YouTube videos. I do skits and advice videos and whatnot. And I get paid to upload. It's called the YouTube partnership progam..."

"That's not weird, that's actually really cool! I love YouTube."

That's why he looked familiar when I first met him. I'm positive that I've watched one of his videos before. I think his channel name is Danisnotonfire...?

He smiled.

"My friend Phil, the guy you saw yesterday with me, and I also host a radio show on BBC Radio 1."

"That sounds fun." I said with a smile.

{Dan's Pov}

We talked and laughed during lunch and I was having an amazing time!

When we got done eating, I payed the tab and we left.

I walked Alex back to the hotel.

"I had a lot of fun today!"

"I did too! Thank you for lunch!" She replied.

"We will have to hang out again before you go back to Cali."

"Definitely."

I leaned down to hug her and thankfully she hugged me back.

"I'll text you later." she said with a smile.

"Ok." I said back.

I walked away in the direction of my apartment with a smile on my face.

{Alex's Pov}

Today was awesome!

Dan is such an amazing guy! He made me laugh and he's cute and I feel like I can be myself around him.

I really like him. I can't wait to hang out again.
