The week went by slowly. The doctors checked on me every 6 hours and Barbra would come in whenever she could. Gavin, Marcus, and Sasha all visited at least once a day. Haley stayed at the hospital with me while my mom went home to rest and get things ready for when I came home.

Today the doctors said it was okay for me to come home and I couldn't be happier for it. They told me that I am scheduled to come back in for a check up in two weeks. Until then they will be sending Barbra as my nurse and I will be meeting my physical therapist tomorrow.

I anxiously sat in the wheelchair next to Haley waiting to get out if this hell hole.

"You're all set Miss Morgan. You are free to go home. Miss Barb will be at your house to check on you on Thursday. Your personal physical therapist will be there to meet you and start your therapy tomorrow. Call us if anything is bothering you like shortness of breath or any type of pain and we will get you in right away." A nurse explained.

I nodded and before I knew it we were out the door and headed toward my mom's house.

When I got to the house Haley pushed me through the door. Everything was dark. That is until Haley flipped on the lights.

"Surprise!" I heard a group of people tell making me scream. A sharp pain went through my side but I ignored it.

"Welcome home baby doll." Marcus said with a smile before giving me a box carefully and kissing my cheek.

My mom, Sasha, and Gavin all looked at me with bright smiles on their faces.

"Hey guys." I said.

"That present is from all of us. We know you've been wanting one for quite a while." Sasha explained.

My eyebrows scrunched in confusion as I looked down at the box. Opening it slowly I gasped at the sight of a baby kitten in the box with a big purple bow around its neck. It looked up at me and made the cutest meow.

"Awe you guys! I love her!" I squealed and picked her up carefully from the box. "But I have to ask. How long was she in there?"

"No more than ten minutes. Haley texted us to tell us you were getting close." Gavin smiled.

"Thank you guys." I said petting the kittens head.

"What are you gonna name it?" My mom asked with excitement.

"I'm going to name her..." I paused and looked at the kitten trying to think of the perfect name. "How about Jade?"

The kitten meowed when I said Jade and I'm guessing that means she likes it. Jade started to purr into my hand as I petted her. After a few minutes she curled up into a ball and fell asleep.

"I love her guys. Thank you all so much." I whispered making sure not to wake up Jade.

"No problem. And we bought you all of the stuff for her too. Food, litter box, toys, everything." Sasha said excitedly.

"Some of it is at your apartment but most of it is here." Gavin smiled at me.

"Again thank you guys so much." I said with a smile before yawning.

"Tired?" My mom asked.

"A little." I said feeling the sleepiness set in.

"Let's show you to your new room until you're healed." Haley said smiling down at me.

I nodded before she wheeled me down the hall and into a room.

A twin sized bed with black and white sheets was in the corner. A small desk had my laptop and college text books on it. The closet had some of my clothes in it. In the corner near my bed was a cat play house. A smile spread to my lips as I looked around the room.
