We got off stage after playing for and hour or so. We were all dressed as superheros, (except Max who was now sporting a speedo) and I for one was drenched in sweat. Backstage we met up with the girls, and I grabbed Tessa into a hug, as she screamed at me.

"Get your sweaty ass off of me!!!" she yelled, laughing.

I got off and we all hung around in the small backstage for awhile, then decided to go outside, to meet some fans. Tessa stuck by me as all of us guys signed shirts, and took pictures. When a lot of people were requesting photos, Tessa just talked with some other fans, which she got along well with. We then went out for something to eat, and then Tessa came to my house, it was around 11pm.

We walked in and went up to my room, which I realized I'd never shown her before. My room's full of guitars and band posters, covering all of the walls. We both sit down on the bed.

"I met some really cool fans at the show tonight!" Tessa says.

"Yeah," I reply, "all of our fans are really awesome."

"Good, I'm actually going to hang out with a few of them during the week." She says.

"That's good, I'm glad you're making some friends." I say.

I turn on the radio and put on an old cd, playing a bunch of old bands. I lay down on my bed with Tessa beside me, and put my arm around her. God, she's so damn perfect, I think as she sings along to all the songs. She's off-key but it doesn't matter, she's just still so perfect.

I love you. I say in my head. I should try it out loud, it's true.

I hold her and and play with her fingers. "I love you, Tessa."

I feel her jump a bit, and her hand is shaky, she looks shocked. Oh shit, was that the wrong time, I'm always fucking up like this. Damn it Cole!

She leans over and hugs me. She fits just right, and is the best thing ever. She tilts her head back and kisses me, and I kiss back. The music is blaring, as I hold her tight. Then I hear the door creak open. I recognize the voice that follows as Max.

"Hey I..." I throw a pillow at him without moving from Tessa. "I'm just.. oh.. sorry..." He laughs and shuts the door.

Tessa pulls away after a little while. "I love you too."

My heart skips a few beats. I feel like a fangirl right now, meeting her idol. Freaking out and about to scream. Then I feel Tessa's phone buzz, as she gets a text, she reads it then says, "I gotta go, sorry, my mom is freaking out and needs me home. Who knows what's going on, she's just being her regular loonie self, I assume."

I walk her outside and say goodbye, then go back into my house. Max is in the living room playing his bass, so I pick up a guitar and play along with him, and we write a few songs. The whole time I wish Tessa hadn't left. What could have been so important that her mom needed her to go, anyways?
