DEMI'S P.O.V.
I decided to wake up early and make Annie breakfast. She had to be starving.
After being in the foster home, if she didn't even get to shower, I doubt she has had a decent meal.
Seeing how I'm not the best cook in the world, I decided on eggs and a fruit salad.
Simple yet delicious.
After finishing, I decided to go wake Annie up.
We had a long day today.
I walked in and smiled. She looked so innocent. I don't know why anyone would want to hurt her, to take away her innocence.
"Sweetie, it's time to wake up." I say softly as I go to rub her back.
As soon I touch her, she immediately jumps up screaming such a horrifying scream.
"Don't hurt me please, Im sorry!" She screamed, begging as tears were streaming down her face.
I didn't know what to do.
She was screaming, curled into a ball at the corner of her room.
I decided to call the only person I knew to call.
"Hello?" She asked very sleepily.
Ya I forgot its 6:00 in the morning...
"Mom I need you." I say quickly because I knew that's all I needed to say.
"I'll be there in 10 minutes.." She said, clearly worried.
I'm so glad I got a place in Texas close to my mom. We will be living soon for tour, but at least I have my mama for now.
My mom didn't know about Annie yet, no one did.
I mean this is just the second day, and I really hate this is how my mom's gonna meet her.
I try to make one last attempt to calm Annie down.
"Sweetie, please it's just Demi." I say softly, kneeling beside her.
She looked at me with her teary eyes, as if realizing that I wasn't who she thought I was.
"Demi?" She asked.
"Yes baby, its just Demi." I laugh in relief.
I slowly reach for her, and she gladly accepts.
I hold my baby girl in my arms.
"Do you wanna talk about it?" I ask, holing her close. She quickly shakes her head in my chest.
"Ok baby. Just know that I will always be here when you want to talk." I kiss her.
After a while of holding her, she finally calmed down.
"Annie let's go downstairs. Someone's coming over right now to meet you." I smiled.
She looked terrified, but didn't argue or question it.
We walked downstairs, her keeping distance from me for some reason.
I decided not to question her right now, she's already had a rough morning.
It seemed like every time we had a close moment, she regretted it afterwards. I guess she's afraid of getting close to anyone.
"Come sit down and eat please." I say as I lay our food down at the table. I put down an extra plate just incase mom wanted some seeing how I woke her up at 6:00 in the morning.
I'm lucky she loves me.
Annie sat down, but only to just stare at her plate.
"You should really eat baby." I say.
She just shook her head.
"Please don't call me that." She said nearly crying.
ANNIE'S P.O.V.
The memories from my dream were still playing in my head. I guess you couldn't call it a dream, more of a flashback really.
John would always call me baby. And ever since then, I cringe at the name.
"I'm sorry Annie." She sighed. I feel like already I am a disappointment to her, a worthless screwup.
A knock at the door interrupted our awkward silence, causing me to shake because I didn't know who the fuck was behind that door.
"It's ok sweetie." Demi reassured me as she opened the door.
"Mama!" She yelled hugging a woman that stood there.
"Hey Demi. What's wrong baby?" She asked Demi as she walked inside. Just then her eyes fell on me, making me really self conscious.
"Oh Dems, who's this?" She asked.
