i used to be afraid of the waters;
not until you taught me how to swim—
not out of the waters,
but into the depth of the sea;
for the beauty is hidden with uncertainty.
with darkness and pressure as you felt the fine sand left untouched for who knows since when— comes beauty of peculiarity with the life no people have ever seen; you brought me down to the bottom of the sea, disregarded the fear of drowning when you told me that bravery is for those who wanted to be free.
i used to avoid the heat of the sun;
cover my skin and complain with the warmth—
but the warmth is what i longed for when the sun is gone;
but you assured me that it is alright cause in your arms i can always run.
you told me to feel the breeze and open my eyes, because no matter how dark the night has come; the sun will again rise— it was a never ending cycle of the sun waking up when the moon was about to rest, the way we risked right after the opportunity left.
now we no longer hesitate,
— for the day was bright yet worries were vivid, and the nights were dark yet hope was in safety;
because you once told me we can read by day and write at night, live for today and die by tonight; choose happiness as the sun beams, be vulnerable as the moon grieves.
and that is how you got me;
— for i fell in love with life through words well written only us can read;
for we let life write on our blank paths then let fate leads.
