Still conscious, some doctors are here to see me. As usual, puno ang OR.

The nurse together with the OR nursing aide wheeled me inside the vacant OR immediately. I winced in pain. Damn it! Ganito pala ang pakiramdam ng mabaril. I don't know who's going to perform the surgery to me but all I want is to have a doctor perform surgery to me ASAP.

Wade came. Halata ko ang pag-aalala sa mga mata niya.

" Ja" Lumapit siya sa akin

" Shit Ja" He muttered. Mukhang kami lang ang nakarinig nung sinabi niya. He's a doctor known not to curse. Pero ngayon ay puro mura nalang ata ang naririnig ko mula sa kaniya.

" Are you going to perform surgery on me?" I asked. Shit! I winced in pain again as I continually endure the pain. Pumikit siya bago muling binalik ang tingin sa akin.

" Sana ako. I want to do surgery on you. Pero naunahan ako nung peke mong asawa. He handed his next surgery to Dr. Montenegro and offered to do yours even though he knows he's so much needed at OR 30. Please be okay Ja." He said.

Ibarra. Damn Ibarra.

My eyes widened the moment Ibarra came inside the room. Naputol ang pag-uusap namin ng makita namin si Carlo.

His eyes were blood shot serious. Kulang ang sabihing galit at nag-aalala siya sa pagkakataong ito.

" Clear the OR. Those who are not needed, please move out. I don't need you inside my OR" He spoke like a boss na parang siya dapat ang masunod.

" I'll be going, Ja. I need to perform below the knee amputation to a patient. Kailangan na din ako dun. I'll come back and see you after my surgery" He promised.

" I said out!" Galit na wika ni Ibarra. That doctor is seriously speaking nonsense here.

Shit ang sakit na ng braso ko.

Mabilis na nagsialisan iyung ibang interns pati na rin si Wade.

" Ja" He immediately approached me and held me to his arms. Naka scrubs parin siya. No OR gown. Halatang katatapos lang ng surgery niya.

Hindi siya nagsalita. I know he wasn't able to stop himself from doing that but who am I to complain? At this very moment, I also needed his hug.

Hindi ko alam ngunit biglaan nalang akong napaiyak ng makita siya.
