Chapter 2

I dragged Midoriya to the auditorium and we chose a couple of seats, and sat down. Then the voice hero Present Mic came out onto the stage and smiled,

"Nice to see ya all today, let's hear a plus ultra!"

No one said anything, the banana haired hero smiled unfazed,

"Keeping it mellow I see! Now let's talk about how this entrance exam is gonna go down!"

I was really excited to see the hero, he was one of my favourites, I listened to his radio show every Friday. Midoriya somehow seemed a lot more excited than I did, he was mumbling on about facts he knew about the loud hero. I kinda spaced out while listening to Midoriya mumbling, it was really interesting.
Then I saw a boy with blue hair stand up and speak kinda loudly,

"Excuse me!" He said, "I'm sorry to interrupted but," he pointed at Midoriya, "could you please stop mumbling! It's distracting others from listening to the teacher!"

Midoriya's face turned a new shade of red as other kids snickered. The blue haired boy sat back down while Present Mic kept talking. I pat Midoriya's arm to calm him down, and continued to listen to the hero up the front.

When Mic finally finished speaking we were led to an area with buildings but lots of space, how much did it cost to build all of this, just for a training ground? I looked around in awe, wondering when to start. I suddenly heard Mic's loud voice over a speaker,

"what are you waiting for?? There aren't any bells telling you to go! That's not how the world works, time waits for no one! GO GO GO!!"

I took off running with Midoriya right behind me. I rush around trying to find any robots to take care of, but a lot of them have already been destroyed. I was getting worried and I could see Midoriya was as well. Suddenly we heard a loud sound and turned to see a huge robot. It was a zero pointer, why is it so big?? I saw a girl with short brown hair, she was stuck under some rubble.

I ran over to her, "Are you ok?!" I ask worriedly.

"M-my leg." She answered wearily.

I stared at her for a quick second, and then moved my hand to the piece of concrete on her leg. I touched it and it started to float up in the air. She looked at me with wide eyes as I picked her up. I put her down a distance away, put my fingers together and said,

"Release!"

The piece of rubble came crashing down and the girls eyes widened more and her mouth hung open,

I looked at her, "Are you okay?" I ask.

She just keeps staring at me. "Y-you I-.. " she trailed off.

I sighed, " In case your wondering, no, I don't have the same quirk as you, I can just copy the one of who ever I look at, I can use it for as long as I want."

She stopped staring at me, I saw what she was looking at, Midoriya. He was up in the air and he punched the zero pointer, destroying it.

"Oh wow," I breathed.

I looked closer at him as he started to fall, his right arm and his legs looked broken, without a second thought I jumped up and caught him, ducking into a roll as I hit the ground.

"T-thanks-" he managed to say before passing out.

I looked at him, he had what seemed to be a pretty powerful quirk, but it did damage to his body. 'I might have to watch out for him' I thought.

A small crowd formed around us, I could hear them whispering about Midoriya. I looked up and saw a little old woman walking towards us, she was really small and had her hair up in a bun under her hair net, I heard someone say her name was 'recovery girl'. I looked up at her from my position on the ground, still holding Midoriya.

"I'll take it from here sweetie." She said to me.

I put him down and got up, brushing the dust off my clothes, wondering what she was going to do, to my surprise she kissed him on the forehead. What surprised me even more was that his limbs started to mend themselves, I understood why her name was recovery girl.

Midoriya's eyes fluttered open and I helped him to stand up. He slung an arm over my shoulder and I put my arm around his waist,

"C'mon, I'll walk ya home." I said.

He just nodded his head and clung to me, as if his legs would give out at any second. He told me where he lived and we started walking. I heard him mumble something,

"Huh? What did you say?" I asked him.

He looked up at me with tears in his eyes, "We didn't get any points, we didn't defeat any robots, except for that zero pointer, but those don't matter.." he started to sob a little bit.

I looked at him with sympathy, "It's gonna be alright Izuku, if we don't get in we can always go to another school, we can go together!" I smile at him, he smiles back weakly.

"Sounds like a plan." He said.

After dropping Midoriya off at home, and after his mother thanking me profusely, I headed home. My mom greeted me at the door,

"Hun, are you alright? Your late, how did the entrance exam go?" She looked a bit worried.

"I'm alright mom, I was just helping a friend home, and I don't really want to talk about the exam." I said quietly.

My mom nodded. I walked into the house and up to my room, where I flopped onto my bed. After a few minutes of laying there doing nothing, my phone buzzed with a message, it was Midoriya.

'Oh right, I gave him my number.' I thought to my self. I opened the message.

Midoriya: Hey y/n how are you?

Y/n: I'm alright, a little disappointed, how are you?

Midoriya: I'm pretty much the same, but I'm also really glad you were there! If you hadn't been, me and that girl could have gotten hurt way worse!

Y/n: Thanks Midoriya, I'm gonna sleep alright?

Midoriya: yes, right of course, have a good night!

Y/n: you too

I switched off my phone, I got up and put my pyjamas on and curled up under my blanket, silently sobbing, thinking I could have done more.

(A/n: sooooo how do ya like the story? I know it's coming onto the original story line but, meh. Imma just keep doing this and see where it goes! Goodnight! <3)
