Start from the beginning

"No?" Sophie replied confused as Fitz walked downstairs in his foxfire uniform.

She walked up to him and reached a hand out adjusting his vacker crest pin. "Now ur like 10 times Vackier," she transmitted earning a snicker refering to her midnight ramble.

She grabbed her bags and they lept to foxfire.

When they arrived she said bye to Fitz and headed to first period with Keefe.

"So how was ur 24 hour Fitzphie fest?" Keefe asked.

"It was fine," she said trying to hide her blush.

He noticed. "So u guys just did a bunch of cognate stuff?"

She nodded as he opened a box of prattles.

"U want one?" He said tilting the box towards her.

"I'm good I had a big breakfast."

"Is the Forklenator secretly a master cheff?," he said joking.

"Actually Fitz made breakfast," she said smiling.

"That's sweet." Keefe said looking annoyed.

When they sat down in class they started doing their paper together.

"So do u wanna come over to Dex's after school?" Keefe asked.

"Sure," she said absentmindedly scratching her neck.

"Ouch," Keefe said pointing to her neck just below the jaw.

"What?" Sophie questioned.

"There's a scrape on ur neck," he said motioning for her to look.

She glanced at her reflection on the crystal table.

"Oh," she said aloud, "that's not a scrape it must be from..." she stopped herself from speaking her realization that Fitz must have given her a hickey that morning.

Keefe sat there expectantly waiting for her to finish her sentence.

"Oh, um I dunno," she said brushing her hair to cover the spot.

Keefe just looked puzzled.

They left class when the bell rang and Sophie headed to lunch. She sat next to Fitz who greeted her with a smile. He looked closer at her face squinting his eyes. He reached a hand up and brushed a finger under her eyes.

"You didn't sleep very well last night," he said looking concerned.

"It was more sleep than I normally get, I just didn't have time to put cover up on..."

Keefe plopped down with his lunch tray.
"You guys taking about the mysterious 'scrape' ?" He asked motioning to Fitz's hands on Sophie's face.

"It's right here," Keefe said leaning across the table as he brushed aside Sophie's hair presenting the mark.

Fitz's face drained of color and Sophie blushed a tinge.

"Sorry, I should think next time before I kiss you like that..." Fits transmitted.

"It's fine," Sophie said, "I normally could've covered it up."

Keefe seemed to be giving them a death glare.
"Out loud?"

"I was just saying that she probably got it during battle training." Fitz said.

"I thought you just did cognate stuff?" Keefe asked.

"We had free time," Sophie said taking a bite of her sandwich.

Tam laughed quietly.

Just then Biana sat down.

"Is that a hickey?," Biana asked rather loudly.

"NO!" Sophie said quickly.

"It's a 'scrape'." Keefe added.
