Ash Ketchum: A betrayal Story

Chapter 1: the Long Walk Home

   Ash Ketchum of Pallet Town has just finished the Kalos league and is making his way home. Ash had lost to Alain in the finals, the farthest he has ever gotten. After Ash's goodbye battle with Clemont, Ash waved goodbye and got on the plane. The flight was an excruciating 12 hours long, but this was no problem for Ash because he slept through most of it. When he finally landed in Kanto, the walk home would take a while, and it was already getting late, so he decided to stay the night at a Pokemon center. When he got to his room, he drifted peacefully off to sleep. Nothing could prepare Ash for what was about to come when he got home.

  Ash woke in a strange place, a long hall, that had uneligible words scribbled all over the walls. Ash, knowing he had no other choice, decided to walk down the hall. After what felt like an eternity of walking, the hall widened out, to reveal a large gathering of pokemon, but not just any pokemon, legendary and mythical pokemon. Every single legendary and mythical pokemon Ash has ever met, and even some he hasn't stood before him, all except one. All of a sudden, there was a bright white flash and Ash flinched and looked away. When he looked back, he saw the one that was missing. Arceus. "Ash" Arceus' voice boomed, "When you reach Pallet town, you will experience a horrible time like no other for you. There only 3 words that could describe it. Calamity, Betrayal, and Abandonment."

  And with that, Ash jerked awake in a cold sweat. He looked at the clock. 3:24 am. Ash tried to go back to sleep, but kept tossing and turning, trying to decipher what Arceus had said. "Calamity, Betrayal, and Abandonment," Ash thought. " What could that mean?" Ash pondered. Ash eventually was able to go back to sleep, but it was uneasy, he continued to toss and turn, even so much that it awoke Pikachu, who had to shock him awake. "I'M UP, I'M UP" Ash shouted. Ash looked at the clock. 10:52 am. Ash took a shower, got dressed, and decided to head out, after grabbing some breakfast.

  Ash began his walk home. As he hopped on route 2, the route before Viridian city, he heard a cry, not of human, but of Pokemon. Ash ran to find the source and found a young Riolu, that was badly injured. He walked up to it, but it backed away. Ash said, "Don't worry, I'm not going to hurt you, I just want to help." Riolu sensed in his aura that he was telling the truth. Riolu let Ash spray it with a super potion he had bought, and bandage it up. Ash knew this wasn't enough, and seeing as Riolu couldn't walk, he would have to catch it and take it to the pokemon center. Riolu knew this as well and begrudgingly let himself get caught by Ash. Ash then booked it to Viridian City, where he immediately ran to the pokemon center.

  Ash gave the Pokeball with Riolu in it to Nurse Joy and told her that it needed immediate attention. Joy got a Chansey to take Riolu back to the ER. Then Nurse Joy asked Ash what had happened, and Ash explained everything he knew. Hearing what had happened, Nurse Joy went into the ER to help Chansey. Ash waited for Riolu for nearly 3 hours. Nurse Joy walked in stating "Riolu should be better by tomorrow, but it can not battle or train for another week."

   Hearing this, Ash knew he had to stay in Viridian city while Riolu rested for the night. He tried to call Professor Oak and his mother, but neither would respond when he called them. He thought this was weird, but brushed it off as them not being home. Ash then got a room and went to sleep, and this time, there wasn't a weird dream.

   When Ash woke up, it was almost 8:30. Ash quickly showered and got dressed, and went down to check on Riolu. When Ash got to the room, Riolu was awake and laying down. Ash then went inside to talk to Riolu. "Hey buddy, how are you?" he asked, Riolu responded, and it was clear Riolu was feeling better.

   Later, at around 9:10, Nurse Joy came out with a stretcher with Riolu on it. Ash went and took Riolu to route 1, and told him that he had a choice, he could either go back to the wild or travel with Ash. After a lot of contemplating Riolu decided it would stay with Ash, as it had grown fond of him. And so with Riolu now added to his party, Ash set off for Pallet town.
