implicit demand for proof

IT ALL STARTED A few months ago, the anger and the pain. I'm not sure how or why I felt this way but it was there. There was so much rage building up inside me caused by nothing and I felt myself going on rampages in the quiet areas of New Orleans, devouring my victims' blood. I don't know what's going on with me but the more I drank blood the harder it became to stop, even when I didn't need it. It was like a drug, I couldn't get enough and it was laborious to stop. This is what my siblings would call the 'Stefan phase'.

I wasn't entirely like my other siblings, yes we were all vampires but I was a hybrid. A vampire and a witch. Pretty cool, right? We found out that when my mother gave birth to me, some of her powers kind of transferred into me and voilà. Elijah said I was losing what's left of my humanity but was there really any there, to begin with? Didn't it all fade away once I become the monster I am today? However, my family seems to have had enough with my antics.

That leads us up to today. The reason why I'm stood by the entrance of our home with a shocked expression upon my face, staring at a few boxes and packed bags sitting there in the middle of the room.

"What's going on?" I asked my younger sister Rebekah, who came down the extensive staircase as soon as I stepped foot inside the house. Out of all my siblings, I had to say I trusted Rebekah the most. Maybe it was because she was a girl and the others don't understand me very well because, well, they're men.

"I tried to reason with them, really, I did. They're sending you away, but only for a little while." She explained to me while holding my hands. "Just until you're better and more calmer."

"Ah, my dear sister, I have no doubts about where you've been this morning. I'm sure Bekah has informed you about your departure," Klaus smirked, making his way down the stairs and next to us in a flash.

"I hardly think this is necessary, Niklaus. Sending me away? You couldn't think of anything better?" I tried reasoning.

"No, I couldn't. But don't worry, I've sorted everything out for you. When you arrive there you'll be greeted and watched over by an old friend of mine, he goes by the name Max. He'll make sure you behave," Klaus explained.

"And are you going to tell me where you're shipping me off to?" I inquired.

"Oh, yes of course. You're going to be staying in the wonderful town of Santa Carla. Or in other words, the Murder Capital of the World, which makes it easier for you to kill. But I promise you if you decide to kill and rip apart every human you come across there, well you wouldn't want to know what I'd do," Klaus vowed.

"You're threats don't work on me Nik. You may as well give up. And if I am leaving, can I at least say goodbye to the others? Where are they?" I asked.

"You know Finn, probably off somewhere being mother's varlet. The other two are somewhere in the house." Klaus informed. I nodded before whizzing off up the stairs to Elijah and Kol.

"It's for your own good, Elizabeth." Elijah soothed to me as I hugged him goodbye.

"Maybe so, but why must it be so far away? This is preposterous," I sighed.

"Maybe when you return you'll be a completely new and improved sister," Kol interjected, smirking.

"Wow, I'm really going to miss your humor Kol," I told him sarcastically, which resulted in a fake laugh from him.

Elijah rolled his eyes, "come on, let's head downstairs."

Once in the foyer, I collected my things from the floor and loaded them into the car Klaus had "ordered" for me to get to Santa Carla.
