daves pov
i woke up to my phone ringing i looked at it was lucas
"yo what is it"i said
" mommas in the hospital" Lucas said
"what which hospital" I said getting up
"the one down south" he said
"what's wrong " monica said
"my moms in hospital so im going" I said
"im coming" she said getting up
we got ready and drove to the hospital
we finally got to the hospital I saw lucas
"whys momma in hospital" i said
"she was having an heart attack so I took her to the hospital" he said
"where's Teyana" I said
(Teyanna Is daves 15 year old sister)
" she's at school" lucas said
we sat waiting in the room silently waiting for the news
monicas pov
me and dave and his younger brother were in the hospital because his mom had a heart attack
we where in the waiting room waiting or the news
I held daves arm because I could tell he was tense
finally the doctor came out
"unfortunately we lost her were sorry for your lost" the doctor said as dave put his head in his hands
I started to cry because daves mom was like a mom to me
"when you guys are ready you can say your good byes" the doctor said as dave got up as I followed him
I saw him hold his moms hand as tears rolled down his cheek
I saw lucas enter the room as tears rolled down his cheek
daves pov
I took my phone out my pocket and called Teyana
"hello" she said as she answered
"im coming to pick you up now from school"i said
"what why ive got to be somewhere after school" she said
"I dont care Im coming to pick you up" i said as she cut the phone
"where you going" monica said
"im going to go pick up teyanna" I said
"call an uber and your way to my moms house" i said as she nodded her head
I made my way to teyannas school and called her to come outside
she got in the car with all her stuff
"why did you take me out school" she said with an mean mug
"dont talk to me like that im not one of your little friends" I said
"dave have you been crying" she said as I shook my head
we finally got to my moms house
" can you tell me why you took me out of school " she said as lucas came in
"mamas dead" I said as a tear rolled down my cheek
"what you lying " she said as started to cry as I ignored her and but my hand in my head
she left and went in to her room
I started to brake down crying because hated seeing teyanna cry
" dave you cant continue to cry in font of your siblings" monicas said as she comforted me
I got up and went to teyannas room I knocked on the door
"dave go away" she said as she cried
"you ok"i said
"no what am I suppose with out mom"she said as she cried
"I dont know but we will get through it"i said
"how where am I gonna live"she said
"you finna start living with me and monica"i said as she nodded her head
"c'mere" I said puling her into a hug as she cried all over again
"dave how am I suppose cope"she said
"its ok" I said hugging her
"common pack your stuff so we can go" i said as she nodded her head
I went back to the iving room and saw monica "is she ok" she said referring to teyanna
"yh"i said
"im sorry for you lost" monica said
"its cool"i said as teyanna came with her luggage
"you ready"i said as nodded her head
" lucas you coming"i said
"nah"he said rolling his blunt
"ight" I said as we left the house
the ride home was silent
I looked into my mirror and saw tears coming out of teyannas eyes
"you ok" I said as she slowly nodded her head
monicas pov
we finally got home I helped teyanna with her luggage
as I took it to the room she was going to be staying in
"you ok" I said as she nodded her
"If you need anything let me know" I said
"thank you monica" she said as she unpacked
I went back to the room and I got in to bed with dave
"baby you ok"i said as
he nodded his head
his head on my chest as I played with his braids
"dave is it ok if I could ask you this"i said
"yh go on"he said
"ive never heard you talk about your dad where is he" I said
"he use to beat me and my mom up when I was little so he eventually left and never came back "he said
"oh im sorry "I said
"its cool" he said as we fell asleep
