He's a kind and loving soul, ready to help even the stranger but his disorder has created such a big problem that he sometimes don't able to help his own son and wife, the reason is not only Hyperthymesia but also Presbyopia (an eye disorder with both myopia and hypermetropia) but he hides this fact from everyone that's a different thing that everyone knows about it..
