Wait!

Please turn that star to an orange one. Thanks.

That afternoon after school, I went to watch Kent practice. I quietly sat on the bleacher as I listened to music on my phone with my earplugs plugged to my ears.

Kent was checking me out the whole time, he was smiling every moment that our eyes met. He seemed so happy unlike when I saw him in the morning. He was a different Kent right now and I knew why.

As the practice went on, I noticed Bryce wasn't at practice, I guess he didn't come back to school after the lunch break was over.

I wondered what might had pissed him off so much. He sure had that scary look anyone would give someone they hated, and not someone they sent anonymous letters to.

Maybe it really wasn't him. Maybe Emma was wrong after all. Because He never admitted to sending the notes to me.

Kent soon finish up with practice and he came running to me with his sweaty body. He always did that but this time, I pushed him off to go clean up before coming closer any further and he hurried to the boys locker room.

After we left school, we decided to go to Salis because Kent was hungry.

He wouldn't stop apologising to me but I made sure to let him know that I had forgiven him. All I wanted was him to apologise it Emma. I knew they couldn't stand each other but they both had to, just for me.

I wasn't really bothered about anything that had happened, I just wanted to be with him and no one else.

That evening, I couldn't stop smiling as Kent dropped me off at home.

When I got inside, I saw the biggest surprise of the day. My mom was standing by the dinning table, along with my grandma, getting the table ready for dinner.

"Nana!" I screamed as I ran off to throw my arms around her, rocking her whole body side to side and she gently patted my back. "I've missed you so much nana" I said as I pulled back. I hadn't seen her for a long time and whenever we talked on the phone, she would promise to come 'soon'. I couldn't believe she finally left Mexico to come see us. She must had really missed us, especially her daughter-my mom.

She really didn't look different from the last time that I saw her. Her hair is Smokey grey as ever and it is short and curly. Her milky watery eyes even made her more beautiful with her wrinkles as she smiled.

"I've missed you too conejita" she said in a strong Spanish accent. It had been long I heard someone called me that. conejita! Mom doesn't even speak her own language.

"You're so grown now mi pequeña." She placed her hand gently under my chin and lifted my head up to study my face. I smiled and she let out a deep sigh. "Oh my...You're not the little conejita anymore" she added as she spun me around and I gave her a broad smile. I remembered Max learnt to call me rabbit from her. When I was a little younger, she would call me conejita (meaning bunny) but Max found it funny to call me conejo (means rabbit) and he never stopped calling me rabbit. "I hear you have a boyfriend now. Is he a good boy?" She asked.

I could see my mom smiling behind my nana as she walked back to the kitchen.

I knew this was probably her doing or Max or maybe Jane. I couldn't believe my own family could be such a big gossip. They couldn't even wait for me to come and break the news to nana.

Shyly I nodded 'yes' and she gave me that weird wink. I don't know why God gave me this kind of family.

"You are going to tell me all about him after dinner" my nana said and I smiled.
