Part Twenty - Three

Y/n POV
Daniel drove me back to his house. When we got out of the car he came to my side of the car and took my bag. "Thank you but I can carry it" I said and laughed. He shook his head. "Oh by the way, my mom is home and so is my sister. They're going to be really nosey about everything.." he said. He seemed worried about me and how I'd feel if they brought anything up. "It's okay Daniel. I can handle questions." I said. He smiled and then pulled me into a hug. "You're actually so brave." He whispered into my ear. I hugged him back so tightly because it felt safe and happy right there. He felt so warm and I felt so happy being in his arms. I needed that hug before we walked in the house. "Thank you for being here for me right now..." I said to him. "No problem, I'll always be here for you. You're my best friend and I care so much about you.." he said back to me.
He took my hand and we walked into the house. It was such a nice house with pictures all over the place and nice decor. It looked like such a happy place with a family that loves each other and want to be there for each other. His house was so light and bright. I loved it. He has such a beautiful home. He smiled at me while I'm looking around. "You have a really nice house, Daniel." I tell him. "Thank you." He said. "Wanna go meet the family?" He asks. I nod. "Okay let's go"
"Hey mom, I'm home." Daniel said when he walked into the kitchen.
"Hey hun!" She said. She was standing at the counter facing the opposite way of us, doing some dishes.
"Mom I gave someone id like you to meet.." Daniel said.
She turned around very fast and smiled.
"Who is this?" She asked smiling.
"This is my friend y/n." Daniel said pulling my foreword but still holding my hand.
"It's nice to meet you, Y/n." His mom said.
"Hey it's nice to meet you too..." I say back.
"Mom... she needs to stay the night tonight." Daniel said to his mom.
"Okay... why?" She asked. He looked at me and smiled.
"Can I explain it later?" He asks.
"Yeah sure...." she says.
"I'll go grab some extra pillows and blankets. She can sleep on the pullout bed okay?" She says. I nod and she walks out of the kitchen.
"The pull out bed is literally attached to mine if that's okay." He said to me.
"That's okay, thank you for letting me stay." I say. He smiles and hugs me again.
We go up stairs and lay down on the bed. I can tell he wants to ask me something because he keeps looking at me and it seems like he has something to say.
"Daniel, I promise I'm okay." I say starting the conversation.
"Are you sure?" He asks. "That was a lot to take in back there."
"Yeah but I honestly expect nothing less at this point." I say.
"Okay. Damn you're really amazing did you know that." He said as he came down to the bed I'm laying on and put his arm around me.
