"You should go over to Daniels tonight y/n." Zach said to me. Why just me? Why wouldn't he come?
"Are you coming?" I ask him. He shakes his head.
"You're gonna make sure mom is alright, aren't you...?" I ask him. He looks down in shame.
"Zach, she's your mom. She's our mom. You have a big heart so I understand why you want to make sure she's okay. I'll see you tomorrow at school?" I say to him.
"Yeah I'll see you tomorrow at school, I love you." He says and gives me a hug.
"I love you too." I say and he leaves.
I start getting a bag and packing some stuff in it. I don't really know what to take. Some clothes I guess, don't really need make up. Definitely taking my journal. Not leaving it here again for her to read it again. Daniel was standing at my door quietly. I think he has no idea what to say. I wish I could make this easier for him but I didn't even want to tell him. I didn't want to drag him into it but I kinda had no choice. He trusted me and opened up to me so I did the same. Plus he saw some stuff.
The only good thing about tonight is that my mom kicked him out so now Reese is safe. I know Zach is staying back tonight to make sure our mom doesn't do one of the following, does drugs again, gets back with an older ex, or runs away from us. If she leaves, we go to foster care and could get split up. If she does drugs, she could die or even get caught and go to jail. Sooo Zach always tries his best to make sure none of those happen. He's a great brother and I appreciate him so much. I don't know how he does it. He's like a super hero. I definitely look up to him.
Daniels POV
I saw y/n and her siblings struggle to deal with what's going on at home and I wish she didn't have to go through any of this. I want to be able to help her so when she said she can't stay at home because of what's going on, without even thinking, I jumped at the chance to offer her to stay at my place. That way I can make sure she's safe and we can hangout which is a bonus. She doesn't deserve any of this. None of them do. They're such fun, strong people and I would never had known something is going on at home if they didn't tell me. Now that I know, I have to help them. I care too much not to try and help them.
