Shining, shimmering, sparkling,
my pearly whites and me!
My smile, seen for miles,
is as gorgeous as can be!Smiles can brighten up a day
like a puppy or a good song.
However, the world can be dark and cruel,
and the smile won't stay for long.Dark, dimming, depressing,
my foul scowl and me.
My frown, my friend, might bring you down
Although I promise, I'm not angry.Sadness is the culprit here
that reverses my big ol' grin.
Society nor substance can cure that fully...
I just wish I could sort out what's happening within. In conclusion, be wary
of the people around you.
That happiest, it seems, can't help
but bid their smiles "adieu!"Inspired by Gabbie Hanna's poem "Smile" from her poetry book entitled Adultolescence.
